We had a great time in Shackleton, The Van! Simple and tidy, it was easy to take the van where we wanted to go. We encountered some pretty big rain storms and it stayed warm and comfy and camp and was not difficult to drive in the rain and wind.
We had a great time taking Shackleton around the Olympic Peninsula! There were a couple small things previous renters had broken, but nothing that impacted our trip and they were getting fixed soon. The hosts were great - very friendly and helpful, and they'd thought of all the little things that made the van extra convenient. My only complaint is that the cushion on the bed extender falls off if you sleep with someone that moves around a lot at night.
I completely fell in love with the Shackleton. It had everything we needed, and was the perfect van for an escape to the North Cascades. Eleanor was amazing with communication and helping get everything set with the trip. I will definitely be renting this gem again.
We had such an amazing experience for a week in Idaho, Montana and Oregon. Shackleton has everything you need! They literally thought of everything for this van. I can’t wait to rent it again. Eleanor was fantastic at communication and was available if needed.
We had a delightful time in Shackleton, trundling in a loop from Portland to the ocean, through the desert to the mountains and back again. It's a perfect option for two people, and we were really impressed by the spacious feel and well considered design. Some highlights included cooking a full meal comfortably indoors on a very windy night, waking up to the view out the back window, and sitting with the doors open by a beautiful river. Eleanor was super communicative and easy to work with, and if we get the opportunity to do so I'd book Shackleton again in a heartbeat!
