Brian was a great host. Vehicle was clean and stocked with linen necessities including biodegradable cups and plates.
But, when a last minute change in plans occurred due to Covid, he was completely understanding. (No the renters did NOT test positive)
Sweet Pea was fun to drive for the limited time we had her. We hope to reschedule our trip and bring Sweet Pea along.
I had a blast with Sweet Pea traveling around MA, visiting friends and camping at the beach. Sweet Pea is great fun to drive and a nice smooth ride. It helps to have some muscle to turn the (non-power) steering wheel but you get so many thumbs ups and shout outs from passers-by on the road, you hardly notice. I had a huge smile the whole week.
It's amazing that a vehicle almost 50 years old could be in such great shape, inside and out.

We loved Sweet Pea! Didn’t want to give her back 😂 Brian was an awesome host and the bus is fully stocked for camping. No need to bring anything really! We did have a mosquito net though that we wrapped around the back hatch and side windows to keep bugs out when sleeping. Took it for a few days ourselves and then home to CT for a staycation with the kids! Lap belts are safe with car seats (but not booster seats), so we put our almost 6 year old in her old car seat (she’s still within the weight limits of it) and she was thrilled!! The other lap belt was too short to put through our other car seat, but our toddler was too young for most of our excursions anyhow. We also went to a drive in movie, which was such fun! When the heat wave abated, our daughter slept in it with me and loved it. She’s going to contribute her piggy bank money to buying a bus! 😂 Bottom line, rent this bus to for a great getaway or staycation, with or without your kids!! 🥰

Excellent Cape adventures on Sweet Pea! While we got a ton of smiles and waves while cruising up the seashore, I would caution potential renters that you should understand the van is a bit of commitment. The lack of power steering, it's height, and it being a 4-speed means you're getting a bit of a workout if you plan to do a lot of driving. There's nothing wrong with that and it's ton of fun when you get the hang of it, but patience is a virtue here.
Sweet Pea is amazing! We had the best time camping in this adorable VW! Brian was so easy to communicate with and when we had a small problem he was so quick and kind about helping us get it fixed! The camper van has literally anything you could need and is so spacious! Prepare to be a showstopper as you cruise around in this beauty. Could not recommend this more if you’re looking for a little adventure!

We loved everything about our adventure with Sweet Pea and would rent her again! Brian was extremely responsive and a great communicator. All in all, a great experience!
We had a wonderful time in Sweet Pea and Brian could not have been more accommodating. The van had everything one could possibly need, and it was clear how much time and thoughtfulness Brian put into outfitting her. The description is accurate, you won't get anywhere very quickly, but if you're looking to relax, take it easy and have everyone you pass smile and wave, you can't go wrong with Sweet Pea! We would absolutely rent again!
Brian was wonderful to work with. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything we would need to know before hand. I am definitely going to be renting again next year.
Exclusive experience ever!!!! We love Sweet Pea soooooooooo much!!!!! It is far far far beyond our expectations, it is a brand new world inside the van and lot of surprise you can't imagine! I wish I could have more time with it! Most importantly, it is very reliable and safety as a vintage van, I feel super comfortable when I drove it on road! And Brain is soooooo nice and friendly, offered us a lot of convenience and guidance! We'll be back again soon!!!!

Brian was a fabulous host! Sweet Pea is well accommodated for fun driving and camping, as everything from a picnic basket to a Coleman Propane stove was included. Tables, chairs, towels for both bath and beach, soaps, utensils, pots & pans, a cooler, and even salt & pepper. We had a blast! The experience was romantic, nostalgic, and kept us grinning ear to ear. Sweat Pea is a beauty and handles the road well even at 50-55 mph. Super fun to drive. Brian is a great guy, just what you would expect a Microbus owner to be, and we loved renting from him. He answered all our questions prior to the trip and was available by phone during the time we were in Sweet Pea. A magical experience with a great bus and a wonderful host. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Brian was phenomenal! He took the time to talk with me about his experience with Van's. He gave me his number to call if I needed anything. There was a slight issue with the door lock and he fixed it right away. Would reccomend renting from him. I will definitely keep in contact with him.

Renting the VW bus was an awesome experience our family will never forget. Our 8 and 5 year old boys have been obsessed with “punch bugs” and VW busses for the last year or so, and we surprised them by renting this for a couple days/nights. We loved traveling around the beaches of southern Rhode Island with a bus that gets honks, peace signs and waves from everyone who passed us.

Brian was great about communication leading up to our trip, met us on time, took as much time as we needed getting comfortable driving the VW, and then when we returned showed us his second van. He was a great host.
Our trip with Sweet Pea was an absolute dream!
My experience renting Sweet Pea from Brian was truly amazing. Excellent communication with Brian leading up to picking up the bus was super helpful and all my questions were promptly addressed and answered. Brian shared his cell number in the case there was an issues but I never had to bother him. Flexibility in pickup and drop off times, coupled with his thorough knowledge of the vehicle and instructional driving tutorial made my experience that much better.

Everything about this rental was perfect. Brian communicated well, was incredibly helpful (he picked us up at the airport, and even purchased a heater for Sweet Pea to ensure our comfort). Sweet Pea was a perfectly restored VW bus, with the quirks you might have found on one then. We enjoyed our five days driving Cape Cod and camping out. Never had a problem the entire trip!
Very excited to rent Sweet Pea, and she did not disappoint! We wanted the experience of driving a 1970's van around New England and got all that we bargained for! There was a small mechanical issue a short ways into the trip but Brian was very attentive and even drove out to meet us and wrench on the problem himself. He went above and beyond and I'd go so far as to say his handy work saved the trip! Having a knowledgable owner was a huge boon. We had zero mechanical issues afterwards.

Where to even start? My friend and I rented “Sweet Pea” for 5 days and have to say it was such an amazing trip. Neither of us had driven a VW bus before , but could both drive stick so decided to give it a go. Brian picked us up from the airport and drove us to a nearby parking lot for some instructions. He was patient and showed us where everything was kept and covered some of the little quirks of the vehicle. Then we were off! “Sweet Pea” kept up with the best of them on the highway, and the most fun part was seeing the waves and smiles of the other drivers... it was like being in our own parade! Anyway, back to helpful information. The bus is in great condition, very clean and everything worked well. Sometimes the key had a mind of its own and we had to open the passenger door to let the driver in or visa versa, but that added to the fun. We had a small technical difficulty on day 4 and texted Brian and he jumped in the car and responded immediately which was completely awesome.
There is no power anything, so don’t try and park in a tight spot. We always drove to the end of the parking lot, or found a quiet street and it was fine.
Sleeping in “Sweet Pea” was great and the upstairs bunk is probably better suited for kids or people who do yoga everyday, but I’m an out of shape 53 year old woman and I still managed to get good sleep.
Rent “Sweet Pea” and leave all your expectations at home. The adventure exceeded what we were hoping for and more, I would give Brian 6 stars for customer service and “Sweet Pea” a gold star ⭐️ for making us laugh and getting us to where we were going!
I hope to see her again someday!

We flew into Providence from NC. From the time that I first spoke to Brian, he was professional and very helpful. I had a lot of questions because we had never rented a RV/bus before, or ever flew somewhere to camp out. It could’ve been a bad experience if everything wasn’t as represented. But the experience with Brian and “Sweet Pea” was over and beyond what we had expected! We had the best time ever! Brian thought of absolutely everything to make our camping trip wonderful, and it’s not easy to think of everything, when you’re camping. He even met us at the airport and took us back to the airport when we left. It was the best vacation we’ve ever had!!

Truly an amazing experience! Perfect if you're into adventure and looking for something different. It's certainly not for everyone, I wouldn't recommend this to non experienced drivers. There's no power steering & it's got a standard transmission, and everything is manual. The camper is in pristine condition and was fully restored, it runs and drives like a dream. It's also very very clean and very well packed with almost everything you need to camp overnight and cruise the local beaches. This is perfect if you're looking for something fun & different and you don't mind going at a slow pace with lots of attention. Brain is also a great person to deal with, very quick response time & he's a really cool guy.
