Thor Chateau –Guidelines & Restrictions –
Renters will be required upon pick up to sign and acknowledge these guidelines & restrictions.

1. Renters are required to provide a travel itinerary, # of guests, & destination points before taking our RV on the road.
NO Burning Man excursions!!
2. No Towing or Off-roading: travel on non-public, unpaved, remote fire or ‘logging’ roads is not permitted at any time. RV is equipped with a tracking device. Please stick to the travel destination plans per your contract. Tow hitch is locked & not available for use.
3. No driving south of the US border to Mexico, Tijuana. There is no reimbursement for repairs, lost use, or insurance deductibles for damage in Mexico.
4. Driving North to Alaska/Northern Canada travel is permitted at client’s risk. There is no reimbursement for repairs, lost use or insurance deductibles.
5. Death Valley: Due to extreme temperatures, traveling in or traversing Death Valley is not permitted in July and August. In May, June and September travel is permitted, however, customer is fully responsible for all mechanical problems and/or towing or vehicle recovery costs. Ground temperatures can reach 140º F or 60º C
6. Avoid highly congested cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco where parking & maneuverability is extremely limited.
7. Winter: Travel during winter months is permitted. However, clients are responsible for any damage due to systems freezing due to cold weather. Special instructions will be given for de-winterization of the RV. Freezing conditions may occur in Spring and Fall at higher elevations and should be anticipated and precautionary measures taken.
8. Summer: Travel in summer months and /or in extreme temperatures can strain motor home systems such as roof and dash air conditioners, generator and refrigerator. We maintain our motorhome to accommodate all weather conditions; however, clients should be made aware that performance of motorhome systems under extreme conditions cannot be guaranteed.
9. Due to the increased incidence of motorhome theft (especially near the border states) we recommend locking, securing & leaving the RV parked in a secure parking lot, RV campground and using taxis or public transportation. Use the privacy curtain & be sure to secure the vehicle when you leave the RV.
10. No smoking of any substance inside or near the RV. Please refrain from lighting candles or having open flames inside or near the RV.
11. Blinds slide up & down. Do NOT push on the window screens or door screen. Use lever to open screen door for entering & exiting the RV.
12. No accessing, climbing, viewing (sitting on lawn chairs) or storing items on the roof.
13. No leaning items on RV or hanging items on exterior ladder: bikes, lawn chairs, rafts, kayaks, fishing poles, surfboards etc. - anything than can potentially scratch the exterior.
14. Mega Storage: when loading or unloading the storage compartments, please don’t drag your items across the rubberized seals. Remember to remove all your belongings. We are not responsible for items left behind.
15. No repairs or modifications should be made to the Chateau without the approval of the owner. Please notify us immediately if something isn't working or you need technical support.
16. Be sure to respect the quiet times & rules of the RV park or campgrounds, especially when using the outdoor speakers & traveling with kids.
17. The awning is designed for shade protection & extra added space to your glamping area. In windy conditions & when you leave your campsite, please remember to roll up the awning to prevent ripping or tearing of the awning. Don’t hang heavy objects from the awning arms. Be aware of floating campfire sparks that can burn holes in the awning.
18. Leveling blocks are supplied with the Chateau. The RV works at higher efficiency when it is as level as possible. Ask Don how to work the leveling blocks.
19. Renter is responsible to check that slide is brought in, awning rolled up, ALL windows, vents, flat surfaces are clear, interior & exterior cabinets are secured/locked. Items will shift during driving. Don’t forget to turn off the water pump, lights, A/C, heater when not in use.
20. Filling the RV with fresh water &/or dumping the tanks (gray & black water) during your vacation may be necessary. Ask Don how to dump & fill if necessary.

Damages not covered by Outdoorsy insurance coverage is the financial responsibility of the renter, including towing &/or recovery fees of the RV. Incidental damages to the interior & exterior are NOT covered by Outdoorsy insurance coverage. The funds will be taken from the security deposit. If the repair costs are in excess of the available security deposit funds, it is the financial responsibility of the renter to pay for the repair or replacement costs. RV should be returned to owner in

“Loss of Use” is the responsibility of the renter(s)/verified driver(s). Outdoorsy.co Insurance claims department does NOT cover loss of use on an insurance claim. If our RV is scheduled to be rented during the time the RV is in repair, the verified drivers/renters will be responsible to pay loss of use of our 2018 Thor 28Z Chateau Class C Motor coach. Loss of Use will be the financial responsibility of the verified drivers/renters at a daily rate of $275 per day.

Late Fee & Extra day rental fee
The return time is 3pm to home base. Renters will be responsible to pay a $90 per hour late fee if the RV is not returned at the agreed upon time. If the RV is returned by or after 5pm, the Renter will be required to pay an extra day of rental income at the daily rate of $275.

My signature & payment is acknowledging, understanding & agreeing to these written guidelines & restrictions. It is my responsibility to enforce & inform my other guests to abide by the rules stated above.

After the orientation & walk-through, we sign the paper work & send you off on your glamping adventure! Other RV owners/rental companies don't spend the quality time in prepping their renters. They charge for basic amenities which really adds up fast. We want to be clear, up-front & to manage a 'business is business' operation while being personable & efficient. Our desire is to facilitate a comfortable & fun glamping experience - your home away from home on wheels!

We provide bedding/linens for the master bed, over cab bunk & the jack knife sofa (28Z) & dinette depending on how many travelers. Let us know how many beds are needed so we can prep. Bath, face & hand towels, floor rugs & an outdoor mat are provided.
We stock our Chateau with basic kitchen cookware, bowls, pots & pans, plates, silverware, drinking cups, mugs, cooking utensils & coffeemaker service for 6-8. Specific RV toilet paper & some paper goods like paper towels, foil, baggies, dish soap, sponge, scrubber, dish rack & kitchen trash bags are supplied. It will be up to you to pack up your favorite spices, condiments, coffee, tea, beverage & food items. Bring your toiletries, beach chairs, wood for the campfire, s'more sticks, DVD's & toys! Depending on if you're dry camping, partial or full-hook-ups will also impact how you pack for your trek.

Your $2K Security deposit appropriates $1500 for an insurance deductible AND a $500 Cleaning & Maintenance fee. We want to send you as much money back as possible, so keep that in mind upon return of the Chateau to home base by 3pm. You will receive a refund of $1500 if there are no insurance, damage or repair issues.
Here's what your remaining $500 security deposit covers (see itemized breakdown in RV Info Binder):
1) Cleaning interior, linens & replenish supplies
2) Exterior wash & storage clean-out
3) Dumping & servicing the black & grey tanks
4) Fill the water, gas & propane tanks, battery check
5) Any Add-ons that require calculation adjustments (mileage, generator use, fuel, delivery, etc)
6) Incidental damages that don't require an insurance claim
