Brand new Sprinter class B! You can back this baby into virtually any parking spot! It has a full shower and bathroom! (It'll be tight though, so make sure to stretch, first) Getting off the grid will be easy with the solar panel and lithium ion battery charging everything you need. And no generator so you don't have to worry about new California regulations, the noise, or the fuel! There's a kitchen with stove, sink, refrigerator, freezer and microwave. It has a super quiet air conditioner, propane heater and water heater, propane ports and electrical outlets on the exterior of the vehicle for your tailgate party. Plenty of storage available on the hitch rack with included storage totes. There's a bike rack on the back that can accommodate 2 bicycles. Best of all, this Sprinter diesel 4x4 sips fuel and drives like a dream. 360 degree sensors, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, GPS, Android Auto and Apple Car Play are all features that will make you want a Sprinter for your daily driver. The vehicle is new, well appointed, and the owner communicated well, however mechanical issues really took away from my enjoyment of my trip. The rv batteries were not able to be charged by the engine due to a broken alternator. Because of this, I was unable to sleep in the van due to inability to run the ac/fan, I could not store any drinks or perishables in the refrigerator, and I had to be very careful to gain enough solar charge each day that I could continue to run the water pump. Other mechanical issues were minor. If this alternator issue was fixed it would be 5/5, however this issue really detracted from my trip.

Adam and Elisabeth were so welcoming upon arrival! They did a great job of running through all the innerworkings so we wouldn't be left in the dust at the campsite. They were also available and quick to answer when we had questions at the campsite the first day. The van was as advertised! Drove easy (like a van) for our 2 and 1/2 hour drive with good gas mileage. The battery system really came through and worked as needed for our full kitchen needs and A/C needs in the hot days we camped. Water was full (and filtered to drink!) when we picked it up, and the dumping of the grey and black water was a lot easier than anticipated. If you want all the amenities of an RV without all the hassle and intimidation of a full scale, bigger RV this van is for you! Plus you're renting it from a couple that treated my wife and I like guests at their house!

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Just shoot us a message and we're happy to work with you if our schedule allows it.
Q.How long does the RV battery last?
A.
If the battery is fully charged, you can easily go 2 days off the grid without having to recharge. If charging is necessary, it's always an option to run the Mercedes for 30 minutes to top off the house battery with the built in 2nd alternator.
Q.Do we have to top off the propane?
A.
No! That is complimentary! (unless you use up the 5 gallon tank and need more. In that case, you're welcome to refill it anywhere that fills propane. Tractor Supply Company is a good option.) The 5 gallon tank will last for at least 4 nights of heat and a few showers in between.
Q.What about the solar panels?
A.
The solar panels are pretty inefficient. They will not maintain the battery at 100% charge with any type of draw ongoing from the normal systems. HOWEVER, it's easy to maintain charge as long as you run the Mercedes engine every once in a while and monitor your battery from day to day.
