We had a great trip but the van had quite a few difficulties that created some worry and stress for the entirety of the trip. We made sure not to let it take away from our experience and the fun we had but when we review the can specifically, it was not up to the standard we paid for. Alex was very responsive for everything and as helpful as possible.

Had a great time travelling for a week in Alex’s Cosy Camper
It was so well set up as our little mobile home with everything we needed
Great bed great storage great cooking set up and good to drive
Got us everywhere we wanted to go up the coast north of San Francisco to the Redwood forests near Klamath across to the amazing Lassen NP and down through the Napa Valley
Couldn’t fault the Van or Alex as a host

It’s not a brand new vehicle but it drives reliably. The living setup in the back is very comfortable. I am 6’ and was able to sleep easily. I’d probably reach out to Alex and Nina if I wanted to take another trip on the 1.
Communication is rapid, courteous, and flexible.

We absolutely loved our trip in this van!! The hosts were wonderful to work with, we went to Yosemite and it was the perfect size for such a trip. We even got engaged in Yosemite with this van 🥲 thank you Alex and Nina ❤️

Alex was super helpful and easy going with getting me all set up for my trip. He showed me everything I’d need to know to operate the van before the trip and made the drop off even easier than the pick up. 10/10 would recommend this cozy, capable, camper van.

First time traveling in a camper van. We're a retired couple with lots of camping experiences, but this was a great adventure. Nice accommodations inside the van with a confrontable bed, nice bed linens, a pump water system and sink. One needs to fill the 6 gallons container under the sink, and then dump the gray water in the camping drain. There is a pull out table where 2 people can sit and eat, if you need to be inside. Monday, we were in Albion at a campsite and it rained all day, So we played cards, read and I stitched. Very comfortable. The van is fully paneled with nice wood, propane stove with 2 burners, but make sure to use the cast iron pan mitts for the handle. It has solar lighting that worked all day long, so nice to have that benefit. A compostable toilet is handy, so one doesn't need to trip out to the toilet in the night. The cooler was really large and kept things cool. Like one review mentioned, there is no AC or radio. Alex loaned us a Bluetooth speaker we used with my iPhone. Perfect! fir listening to music and podcasts. It was hot coming south on 101, it would have been nice to have AC, but we rolled down the windows. Keeping in mind, we have no experience with this type of van driving, so it was a bit rough, for me and my toy poodle, Sula. She is a nervous dog anyway, and with some of San Francisco's and California's bad roads, it was bumpy. However, when on the highway 101 and highway 1, it was smooth going. Alex was always available, communicating with us when needed. He is a flexible kind of person with good communication skills.

We had an absolutely awesome experience driving around Yosemite with The Cozy for our home on wheels for 4days!! The van was a comfortable drive with amazing gas mileage, more than enough storage for suitcases and daypacks (as we were coming from out of state), a perfect kitchenette, and a great night's sleep. Alex was incredibly helpful and accommodating, and was a pleasure to rent from; also gave great advice on where we should head/stay. The lack of A/C, which is mentioned in the profile, was only a factor on the drives between San Fran and Yosemite with the intense heat- not enough of a problem to knock down a star though!

This was our first time in a camper van and we had the most amazing and memorable experience. The van had everything we needed, including a full kitchen, a compost toilet, useful cubbies everywhere and a garage big enough to fit both of our bikes. The design and layout inside really lived up to the name “the cozy”. The minute you walked in to the van it felt like you were home. Alex had great communication and responded quickly to any questions we had. We would definitely rent the van again.

Alex was very communicative, flexible and attentive from day one!
The van is simply perfect and ideal for couples - it is spacious, functional and cozy, with a comfortable bed, nice little kitchen area, and cozy sitting area.
It has all the needed amenities. We were very positively surprised that we got way more than what was shown. You have a table where 2 people can be seated while working/eating, plenty of storage space both inside and in the back of the van (besides the camping chairs and other items, it perfectly stored a surfing board). And so many other cute details like the shoe storage next to the sliding door.
Just as a watch out for unexperienced van drivers, the van has reduced visibility to drive, meaning there are no windows in the back, but you have a camera to help.
