Overall had a good experience. Van venture was usually quick to respond to any questions I had. A few things that were less than ideal:
1) it was really tough to turn the van on. I guess the van was recently re-keyed and it's sensitive to how the key lines up. I still couldn't get the hang of it by the end of our week long trip. We were given the fridge as a free upgrade, which was really nice, but it didn't seem to keep things that cold.

We travelled California for 2 weeks visiting several national parks in the Van. The Van was the perfect size to accommodate us camping, while still being easily drivable. VanVenture communicated effectively throughout our trip and were exceptionally accomodating.

Our 5 day trip was absolutely perfect, thanks to the perfect sized vehicle equipped with everything we could have needed to enjoy ourselves. Great communication throughout our reservation and trip helped to ease our minds prior to pickup and while we were traveling. The van traveled with ease through Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia NP, and made for easy parking and enjoying the ocean on our way back to San Francisco. We 10/10 would recommend to everyone!

We had such a great experience renting this van! To be honest, we didn't want to return it! My friend and I travelled up the coast of Oregon and both agreed that this was the best way to roadtrip and camp. The van was fully stocked with everything we needed and it was so easy to drive since it’s not too big. Pat and Wenxie were quick to respond and so great to work with!

I had a great time! The communication from VanVenture was stellar! The van was great. I felt secure renting from them. They went above and beyond with the van. I really appreciated the back-up camera they installed even though you could see out the back. They thought of everything. :)

One of the best experiences of my life! This was “The Trip” for me. I rented the van for 21 days departing San Francisco then venturing through Yosemite, Sequoia, Mojave Desert, Las Vegas, Zion, Horseshoe Bend, Lone Rock Beach, Pacific Coast Highway, Big Sur, Monterey, Santa Cruz and back to San Francisco. This van was able to make this journey without a problem. I am 6’5 and sleeping in this van was comfortable for me, as long as you use the bed extension. I rented the fridge since I was gone for so long and it worked perfectly. I kept my suitcase full of clothes in the passenger seat for the trip and the rest of my gear fit in the space provided. The van was clean on departure. Pat and Wenxi were very responsive when I had a question or a concern. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway either solo or with someone this Van will not disappoint! Go and Do It!

The van was small enough to manage 'light' offroading when driving to dispersed campsites but big enough to fit everything we needed for 5 nights. Wenxi and Pat were very communicative and helpful. Everything they did to make for organization and utility in the van was brilliant!

What a great way to camp! Pat and Wenxi are super awesome to work with, and the van was comfy and well-equipped. We loooooved the flexibility that the van provided, and the fact that we got to sleep in a real-ish bed the whole time. We also rented the camp shower, which I highly recommend - it was great for showers, but also for brushing teeth, cleaning the kitchen, etc.

Great experience with the van. Short and easy to drive. Responsive communication, easy pickup and dropoff experience. The van and all of the features were great and easy to use. We reserved the fridge, and was notified last minute that it wasn't working so we were given the cooler instead, which was unexpected but not a problem. Also note that the van engine goes a little slow on uphills, so keep that in mind if traveling through steep roads.

My boyfriend and I rented a van from Van Venture for the first time recently. We took a three day trip into the Sierras and had an absolutely incredible time! The van has everything you need; We couldn't think of one thing we would add in regards to equipment. We were comfortable (the size is so easy to drive), we felt totally safe, and we had a blast! It was so amazing to be able to drive a long distance, and then park the van to cook meals and make coffee, and then sleep, all in beautiful places. I will definitely be renting from VanVenture again soon!

Overall, the rental experience of this van was really great! Pick up and drop off was smooth and the staff was very insightful and prepped us adequately. The van was stocked with useful items like a stove, water tank, and cooler. We got a lot of compliments from strangers on the build-out of the drawers and bed.

My wife and I rented the van for our wedding and honeymoon trip around Nor Cal. Max and Jon were very nice and helpful with everything. The van was great. The lay out had plenty of amenities. The included gear was fantastic, I actually have a lot of the same camping gear at home. The pull out drawers with the kitchenette, cooler and water was very convenient and offered lots of little spaces for storage throughout the trip. The track lighting and all of the USB charger ports and plug locations made using our electronics a breeze. The bed was super comfy, as were the included pillows and camping blanket. There was a mechanical issue with the passenger side sliding door, it wouldn't open. Turns out their mechanic couldn't get it fixed in time for pick up. It didn't effect us at all. The guys threw in some extra equipment free of charge for the inconvenience, which we REALLY appreciated. My only personal complaint, I'm 6'3", so sitting upright in the back was a little tough for me. That's no one's fault but my own. I would happily rent this van again for another trip to Nor Cal.

We had a wonderful adventure using VanVenture’s van. The converted van was perfect for road trip camping, as you pull in to your site and have minimal set-up.
Owners were great with explaining their rental and were quick to respond about any questions or concerns we had. We would happily recommend the rental to anyone looking for a similar experience.

First of all I never write reviews, but I felt obligated because of how impressed I was with my van camper experience. This van comes with way more than I originally thought it would when I booked it. Watch the orientation video on their youtube channel. There are a bunch of extra gadgets and tools included, so you don't have to worry about packing them. I flew into SFO, picked up the van, and spent the whole week in Yosemite.

The VanVenture guys were really lovely and accommodating. Pick up was super easy (I'd recommend confirming an exact pick up time a day or two before, and give yourself ~20 mins to go through paperwork and van check on arrival). We had a small mechanical issue after pick up but one of the guys came and met us to help & fix before we set off. The van itself was as pictured and came with so many great accessories to truly make it all inclusive and self-sustaining for a great camp trip! I'd rent again.

We had the best time! The van ran smoothly, the gas mileage was incredible, the communication was reliable and the bed was very comfy. We had more storage room than we thought. We brought an extra blanket and I’m glad we did!

It's strange how one can become attached to something like a campervan. Spending 1 month on road trip around the national parks of western USA in VanVenture's custom Ford transit could not have been more memorable. The vehicle had everything I needed and drove amazingly for all 7000 miles, not to mention the great gas consumption! Max and Jon were awesome! They were friendly, communicative, accommodated all my weird requests and helped ease any concerns before embarking on my first adventure in this type of style. 10/10 would recommend!

We had a dreamy long weekend traveling to Big Sur and camping along the coast in this super cute and cosy van. Had everything we needed and more. Loved the attention to detail in the fit out, and the wood panelling makes it feel like you're sleeping in a cabin. Drove smoothly, not heavy on the gas and only wished we had longer!

Great easy rental. The bed in the back is a little short though, I wouldn't recommend anyone over 6ft sleeping in the bed. I'm 5'8" and had to sleep diagonally on the bed. The stove worked great, came with all the cooking gear necessary. Very affordable for what you get.

My wife and I reserved this for a trip to Yosemite and Redding. It was an awesome van and the whole renting experience went very smoothly. The blind spots are pretty big, but it didn't take long at all to get used to using the blind spot mirrors. I would definitely use this again if I needed to.

We had a great time with VanVenture! It was a very last minute decision to rent a van for the weekend, and they were so wonderful and easy going about getting us all ready to go with such little notice, and making sure we were all prepared! The van was great to drive around, venturing north to Point Reyes and falling asleep to coyotes howling, and driving south the next day and making breakfast on the beach. It was such a wonderful adventure, I may now have to buy a camper van!!!

This camper was so awesome! I took a trip to Monterey with my girlfriend and spent an amazing weekend there. The stove top was great for cooking light breakfast and coffee. This thing was awesome. The guys were also super accommodating with pick up and drop offs. Can't wait to plan my next trip!

Renting this van couldn't have been easier! Check in was smooth, and they went over how to use everything. I was very impressed with how well equipped it was - the bed was comfortable and came with pillows and blankets for 2, and they had all the cookware needed to make a meal and coffee. The electric cooler was a nice touch, and would be very useful for those taking longer trips. Highly recommend and would definitely rent again!

Amazing hosts! They've included everything with this van. My gf and i spent the night in Santa Cruz and had everything we needed to stay warm! Jon & Max even provided everything we needed to cook breakfast with an electric cooler to keep all of our food cold! Awesome experience.

Renting Max & Jon's campervan was amazing! It had everything my boyfriend and I needed to enjoy a quick trip to big sur. They provided us with everything from towels to cooking supplies. Michael's van is simply amazing! Driving it was a breeze, it ran great, the bed is super comfy, and everything we needed for our trip was provided. He was accommodating and was sure to teach us about the vehicle. Very happy with renting from him, and definitely recommend if it's available.
