Meet your host, Curt

Member since 2019

We are a traveling couple who use our RV to get to the trailhead or oudoor destination. We like to boondock and camp in the vehicle without being hooked up although we have shorepower and hot/cold running water

Like our last B van we built this one to satisfy our personal needs. We received 32 5 star reviews on our last van and hope to do the same on this van. We are outdoors people and we want(ed) a van that we could live out of for some period of time and that would get us to our favorite outdoor locations in comfort and warmth, and security and with our toys.
The van sleeps 3 adults on beds (or even 4 if one of you is willing to sleep on a futon. There are 4 belted seats for safety on your way to your destination.
There is an Espar hydronic heater which runs off the van diesel fuel tank and also makes hot water for the shower and sink. You can also heat water through the 120v electric system when you are plugged in to shore power.
There is an outdoor hot/cold shower and a privacy tent, if you wish.
The fresh water tank hold 32 gallons and the grey water tank hold 7 gallons.
We have a Lagun table which can be mounted indoors or outdoors,
Cooking in the van is through an induction cook top and we will provide a propane camp stove and free propane if you want to cook outside.
There is a 400ah li-ion battery and a 400w solar panel along with a 3kw pure sine inverter/charger so that you should have ample electricity.
There is, also, a cassette toilet with its own direct water supply from the fresh water tank. It can be emptied into any roadside or even residential toilet.
There are black out window curtains for every window.
Like our last van, the diesel engine is very fuel efficient. Depending on how you drive, you can expect as much as 20mpg. (Diesel is 15% for environmentally friendly than gasoline with the new engines)

Have a question?Get answers directly from the owner

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Pickup can be as early as you like. Bear in mind that we will probably spend an hour or an hour and a half helping you get completely oriented to the van's systems and even practice driving. I do need the van back no later than 3PM on return day.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
There is a 30a shorepower connection. There is also a 15a shorepower connection. Water refill is through a gravity feed inlet on the side of the van.
