Easy to drive 2014 Forest River Solera on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. This 24 ft RV is fully contained and easy to operate; great for first time RV'ers. It is great on gas and get around 15 miles to the gallon on average and runs on diesel fuel. My family has taken this on a number of trips going from CA to NV, Utah, Montana, all the way to NY and DC. It is the perfect size and is allowed in all CA State Parks and all of the National Parks. It fits into a normal parking spot. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to set up.

It sleeps 4 people with (1) queen bed in the back (folds down with the slide out extended), and a twin size bed that is created when the dinette is folded down. We have taken several week long vacations and used it with full hook ups as well as dry camp.
Inside has a TV entertainment system over bunk and stereo system. There is also another TV in the bedroom.
Central heating and A/C inside the RV
Cab seats rotate to provide more seating
Please treat our home on wheels as if it were your own

Recommendations

Places we have stayed:
Crater Lake National Park
Seal Rock Cove RV Park (Seal Rock, OR)
Beverly Beach State Park (Oregon)
Pillar Point RV Park (Half Moon Bay, CA)
Santa Cruz Redwoods RV Park
Sea Cliffs RV Park
Lake Delville
Lake Chabot
Big Sur RV Park

We loved Seal Rock Cove RV park. RV parks overlooking the Highway 101 and the Oregon Coast. Beautiful sunset and easy access to the beach.

Beverly Beach State Park was nestled in the woods and had a complete walkway under the highway for a wide open beach! Also had a small hiking trail around the park, and a playground for children.

Please contact us with any questions.

If you plan to visit more than 3 national parks, recommend purchasing the Annual Pass. Saves a lot of money on entry fees to the parks.

Sea Cliffs RV park is right along the beach in Santa Cruz. Waves crashing all night long was unbelievable.

Other things to note

Return cleaned with the black and gray water tanks emptied and the fuel tank refilled. (Additional charges will be incurred if any of the above needs to be done by us; there are optional add ons for us to complete the fill ups and emptying of the tanks that are flat convenience fees) If all fuel tanks are filled and black and gray tanks are empty, there is no charge.

Pick up time is 8:30am and drop off is 2pm, we can try to be flexible if possible, but no guarantees.

Meet your host, Fred

Member since 2021

Hi, I am Fred. I have owned 4 RV's in my lifetime. This is the second Mercedes Sprinter RV that I have owned. I have learned a lot over the years and would be happy to share them with you. I bought this RV to travel with my family and have my two boys enjoy life on the road the way I did growing up. Feel free to ask me any questions.

It was our first time renting an RV, Fred was friendly and detail oriented in walking us through everything. The RV itself is clean and well equipped with kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies and linens. The RV is easy to drive and runs well. Fred was very flexible with pickup and drop-off and made himself available at all times. We definitely look forward to renting from him again.

Fred was great to work with. Easy going and pleasant. The rig was as advertised. It was clean and easy to operate. Would be great for first timers or new RV'ers!
