The van was great! A previous renter had damaged the windows so we were unable to use them but they were headed out to be fixed after us. Disappointing but I guess you can’t really control that. Also the fridge broke but William was available to troubleshoot it with us and offered to purchase a cooler and refunded for food lost to make it right. Great communication and a great van. Very minimal as stated but just enough for what you need. Pack light! I don’t think four adults would fit well but if you have young kids this would be great. We were two adults traveling together and very comfortable. We didn’t use the tent so can not speak to that. Would rent again!!

We had an awesome trip. The van was perfect for our family of four for a week of mixed weather in the spring desert. The van had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t (big plus when you are working with a small space!). We only plugged in on our first night and the solar covered the rest of the trip never dipping below half battery. Hosts were great! The bed is on the short side of you are 6’+ but that’s probably par for the course for vans. We would definitely rent this van again!

We had such a fun time with William’s van! Drove from Fremont to Yosemite and highly recommend. (Tho, take 120 for better views vs the 5). The extra heater made the cold nights so much more enjoyable. Thanks, William!

Great camper. Absolutely seamless pick up and return, couldn’t have been easier. William even went to the effort of putting an extra heater in the van for us on request. You couldn’t ask for a more badass looking vehicle with great spacious comfort inside. The van is very well equipped and has everything you would need for a camping trip in every environment. If I was being fussy it would be nice to have blinds on the cab and side windows but all in all great rig!!

We loved the adventures the vehicle allowed us to take. Pick up and drop off could not have been any easier. We only had (1) issue and I take 100% of the responsibility for it. Full transparency, we froze one night in Yosemite (it was below 30 out). There was a duvet and blanket in the van, but it was not enough for us. We should have brought sleeping bags, but we traveled from out of town. William said a small space heater could be used if there had been shore power. With some better planning on my end, we would have been fine. Other than that, it was amazing. The vehicle drove very well and we had no issues.

The entire experience was perfect! Could not more highly recommend William and Honest Camper. 5 nights in the van through Oregon was absolutely perfect. The van is minimal but functional, exactly the way I wanted it. Van performed great, was comfortable, and took the trip to the next level. The two burner stove was perfect for whipping up Kuju Coffee pour overs every morning before leaving camp! The fridge and freezer helped tremendously. Thanks William!

In general, everything was amazing and William was EXTREMELY responsive and organized. The only small thing was the video mentioned the propane tank would be full with a spare in the back. Unfortunetly we didn't notice the propane tank was empty and there wasn't a spare in the back. Other than that, everything else was perfect.

This is a great camper and William is very responsive and conscientious. As another renter noted, the camper conversion is not a commercial RV buildout, but rather a more home-spun personalized set-up. It's very aesthetically pleasing and versatile. The jump-seat allows you to safely carry four passengers with seat-belts (preferably two kids or slim adults, because the jump-seat isn't huge) and the roof-top tent allows you to sleep four. Not many 144 Sprinters can do that. And while the table is a bit of a pain to deal with when the bed is set up, it was so fun to seat four people around it, warm and out of the rain. Renting this camper was a great experience and value.

This Camper Van rental was solid and as described. Very good value. Be sure to understand that you are renting a one of a kind custom outfitted camper van and not a mass produced professionally built campervan from Coachman or Roadtrek. It suited us well and was described very accurately in the listing. This drove very well with no mechanical issues or even mechanical nuisances whatsoever. Pickup and dropoff using SFO airport could not have been made easier by William. 18' smaller length makes driving and even parallel parking in the big city easy with rearview camera. "camped" 4 nights in parking lot of sons guest bedroom-less apartment building, 2 nights in Napa campground, and one at lot along highway 1 (picture). Way more affordable than a hotels and rental cars.

Had an amazing weekend away with this Sprinter. William was fantastic at helping coordinate and set us up in a van that is both functional and a head turner. The kitchen was well stocked but we brought a couple of our own items and all the other amenities were well thought out. We will likely be back to rent this van again, if I don’t break the bank and buy one first.

The two of us had a brilliant time with Geordi the RV when we went camping last month in Yosemite! It drives like a dream (it got us through fog, hail, ice, snow, sidewinds, steep/windy mountain roads, the lot) and it's got all the amenities you might need for a great outdoors experience. It's perfect for on American roads as it's a large vehicle that fits right in with what everyone seems to drive around California and you're high up which gives you a good overview of the road. It took some figuring out how to empty the greywater tank, but with some further help of a lovely neighbour we got there in the end. The communication was sometimes tricky, trying to keep the owner William in the loop on any delays we had/ask him a question, as we were quite 'off-grid' and sometimes had to wait a little for a reply. But all in all William was very helpful (he even made an instruction video which came in handy when we needed to turn off the water pump) and the RV trip a great success. We will definitely rent the exact same van again to see more of California's great outdoors!

Really reliable and comfortable. William did a great job of making this very easy. This is my first time using camper, but not the first time I’ve done this coastal surfing trip. The camper made it my most comfortable trip in the last ten years. It made me interested in using Honest Camper again and trying a few of the trips William has mapped out in BC.
