We had an overall very good experience renting from basecamp for our two week trip to Yosemite, Grand Canyon and Zion. The van was very clean, new, well equipped, hot showers, exactly what we needed for two people. The only reason for giving four stars was due to experiencing a battery malfunction toward the end of our trip that caused a six hour wait in 115° heat in Las Vegas, needing a jumpstart, and causing us to lose power for the remainder of the trip (no fridge, lights, or running water, etc). While Arnold was very kind helping us we wish there would have been better knowledge of the vehicle to help troubleshoot the issue and also accommodations offered (like not charging for the day lost and not having power for the remainder of the trip) since the issue was not anything we caused. We leave this as a suggestion for improvement overall we would rent from basecamp again still!

Thank you for you suggestions and review.
If you recall I mentioned that if it is a manufacturer issue we will be responsible for it and if it was operator error then you would be responsible. As we still don’t know what causes this issue and the technician said they can diagnose the problem until the new batteries arrive. We ask if you can just give us one more day to get a final diagnosed and inspection of the van to determine the cause and resolution. We apologize for the wait and the inconvenience and we do want to make things right with you.
When we spoke when you first had this issues we tried troubleshooting the normal power outage issues but this electrical issues was beyond our knowledge, it was not a normal malfunction. Not even the RV technician know as of yet what cost this. The battery was damaged and disfigured.
Even without knowing he cause of the malfunction, I offered to pay for the replacement of the batteries so there was no delay on your trip after roadside assistance said the chassis batteries where broken if you recall. Thank you for your patience.

Arnold is super easy to work with, professional and quick to response. Very accommodating with pick-up and drop-off. Rosalia was spotless clean and we were ready to hit the road with less than hour. The van is is to drive and water, waste water, electricity are all intuitive to handle. One back-draw: it’s quite a bumpy ride for passengers on the back seat.

We had a wonderful time in Rosalia! The vehicle is clean, easy to drive, and agile enough to go everywhere we wanted. We used an extra pad on the bed and slept great. Arnold was very responsive when we had questions -- and we had a few! Thank you for making the process easy and fun!

Danica and Arnold are literally the easiest to work with - we had a beyond memorable experience! This size camper van is perfect. I've driven and used full sized RVs before and though they are more spacious, this 22-23ft van is more than enough for 2 people.

The RV was in great condition when we received it except for some repairs that needed to be made that the owners told us about. The vehicle was very clean and well equipped. It drives great and the owners for extremely professional and easy to work with.

Great little vacation! The owners were very courteous and great with the social distancing. The camper was super clean and ready to go. Really easy rental, both pickup and return. Smooth trip, nice layout of the RV. We would rent again!

We had a great first time RV camping experience with this vehicle which drives like a car. There were a few things that did not work that need to be fixed. The coffee maker did not work, the hot water we could not get to work and the air conditioning and heating system to work. The van was comfortable, clean and we had great meals that we cooked on the stove and water pressure was great.

Hi Shirley, we are so are sorry to hear you had issues during your trip. However, after returning the rig we did the inspection and everything worked at first try(the coffee machine, hot water, air conditioning, heating system) and we left them on for two hours to make sure they still worked.
We did explain multiple times on how the equipment work on the orientation because you had a hard time understanding on how they work or how to operate everything. Also, we offered you a manual and had a few phone conversations during your trip.
We are sorry you were not able to figure out how to work this equipment. Everything seems to work, we came to the conclusion that you had issues understanding on how to operate the equipment. In the future, we’ll make sure to add some videos as well on how to operate the equipment.
