Very good communication, even during the trip. Pictures were accurate for what you get.

This was a great trip, the camper is a really solid Winnebago, spacious, and the interior work that Paul and Laura did was really great. We used both the bed and the couch as beds and the fold out couch is easy to use and the mattress was also excellent, the person using it has back problems and was able to sleep just fine. Mechanically all the systems (engine, brakes, tires, water, AC, heat, hot water, power, lighting, gray/black water, toilet, etc) were all working and no issues which makes the trip pretty hassle free. We didn't use the generator on the trip but Paul had it running while we did the pre-trip walk through. I made some small recommendations to Laura, the TV antenna is broken, there's a blue ray player but we didn't use it, I think they need some additions to the kitchen supplies (smaller cups and coffee cups), and the sharp knives aren't (I have never been in any vacation rental where the sharp knives were sharp, it's a tradition :-)

Ok, time to review... It has been a whole month and I have not heard anything back from the RV owner so I guess a review here will make it easier for other people to make a decision before they rent the RV with them. Our trip was planned for 4 nights, with the first 2 nights in a camp site without RV hookups (communicated with the owner and he confirmed it is ok to do this) and the last 2 nights in another camp site with RV hookups. Our nightmare started on the first night...The heater was totally off on the second half of the first night and none of us could sleep due to the low temperature. In the next morning, the electricity of the RV totally shut down due to battery issue. We had to report the insurance company with the help of the owner and eventually in the evening of the second night the battery issue was resolved by a technician. Due to the terrible experience in the first night, we decided to move to the second camp site one day earlier. But even after we moved to the hookup camp site, the RV was still having problem here and there in the first day we were there. Long story short, after 2 days worrying about the conditions of the RV (half of our trip was gone) we finally could start enjoying our trip. I should mention that the husband (owner) was available all the time to help us resolving the problem, but I'm sorry the issue was not on us, the RV condition was the root cause of problem. We tried to communicate with the wife (owner) when we returned the RV, but surprisingly she did not show any apology for the inconveniences in the whole conversation. Yes, she waived our extra-mile charge (which is 30-40 dollars), thinking that is more than enough, but she was very strong in her words when she asked me to sign the paper after we returned the RV and she finished checkups. I asked her if there is any way we could get some type of refund because half of the trip was ruined by the poor RV conditions, and she said there is nothing she can do, and she told me I HAVE TO SIGN THE PAPER NO MATTER WHAT. I'm fine without any refund, but I'm not fine at all with her attitude. People, especially business people, should understand how to treat their customers. As a customer, I value good product/service as much as I value the way how customer is treated. By the way, the 1 start is given to the husband due to his help in resolving the issue.

1. Communication w/ the owner was very poor. It started right away, where after making the reservation the owner came back saying that they "normally only rent it for 4 days or more", but they hadn't set it up in the system correctly. Since that was their error, they rented it for 3 days as I had reserved.
2. They had also had the pet deposit set up incorrectly, where it was supposed to be a $50 pet fee plus a $150 deposit in case of pet damage. The owner let me know that they didn't have it set up correctly, and they would just refund $150 after the rental was over. This seemed sketchy and I had to trust them to do the right thing versus them just setting it up correctly in the system to begin with.
3. The day I picked it up there were still 2 trash bins in the RV with the previous renters trash, including used band-aids. In the times of Covid-19, where they are supposed to clean the RV to a certain standard, they failed.
3. The black water tank leaks, so no matter what a person does they end up with shit and pee water on them as they empty the tanks. The secondary value is just stuck half open, so when they say this unit is in "excellent condition", it's definitely not. There are other issues as well, but this one alone should be fixed by the owners, OR expectations should be set w/ the renters that this is the reality.
4. It took me dozens of communications after the rental was returned to get the deposit back and the overall transaction closed out. I sent daily messages through outdoorsy, and ultimately had to get outdoorsy involved when the lack of communication back from the owners forced me to get them involved. At the end, they did give me the pet deposit back, plus $50 back for the lack of cleaning we experienced.
5. Oh yeah, the rear brakes also blew out on the way home, so we had to drive super slow the last few miles. Thankfully this didn't happen during the trip, or we would have had a ruined vacation.

They were great and very helpful walking me through how to do everything. The RV was in great condition and perfect for our first time trip.
