The Great Outdoors

For a guided introduction to the local landscape, head to Armand Bayou Nature Center in Pasadena. With several guided hiking options, as well as a kayak tour, visitors can learn a lot about the local habitats and ecosystems. There is also an authentic 1800's farm site on location, where you can learn about the pioneers and how they adapted to the landscape. If you’re feeling particularly daring, sign up for one of the night hikes to experience the habitat in a completely different atmosphere.Need a beach day? Head to Galveston Island State Park. It’s one of the island’s best-kept secrets. At this peaceful park, you can relax while listening to the waves crash on the sandy shores. If you’d rather do a little exploring, the park spans the entire width of the island. Hike to the bay portion of the park and explore the trails that wind through the salt marshes. You can even test your luck at some local fishing.Back on the mainland is the Brazos Bend State Park in Needville, Texas. The Brazos River is one of Texas’ most famous rivers, having nurtured some of Texas’ earliest settlements. Today, this main thoroughfare has become a recreational haven, particularly along the protected stretch at the state park. Visitors can go fishing, explore the trails that wind along with the river, and likely spot an alligator sunning itself on the banks or a river otter playing in the weeds. If you venture into the forest, you just might catch a glimpse of a white-tailed deer, bobcat, or fox. The lush wetland landscape is a playground for animals and humans alike.

The zoo is home to over 500 animals, and its layout is unlike any other. The zoo is “open range,” meaning that the animals are not within small enclosures. Climb aboard the safari tram as it leads you through 80 acres of roaming space. You’ll see giraffes, zebras, camels, wildebeest, and so much more. You’ll even get to feed them. When the League City RV rental needs to be restocked and refueled, you can find several gas stations and grocery store options near Lake Cove RV Resort. Questions about RVs?

Q.

What type of RV should I choose?

A.

Start by determining how many people are planning to travel with you. Going on a solo-journey? Choose a camper van or a teardrop trailer. Bringing the whole family along for the ride? Consider a spacious Class A or five-wheel.

You’ll also want to consider amenities. For example, if you’re planning to cook on the road, you’ll want a kitchenette. If your campground doesn’t have public restrooms, you’ll want to search RVs with bathrooms. Check out full descriptions of our models to help you decide here.

Q.

Do the RVs have bathrooms?

A.

Yes. Class A’s, Class B’s, and Class C’s and five-Wheels typically have bathrooms. Depending on where you plan on camping, you’ll want to double-check the availability of restrooms if selecting a rig without a bathroom. Nervous about renting an RV with a bathroom? Owners can help show you how to clean the tank or will offer to do it for you for a fee.

Q.

How does check-in work?

A.

Once an Owner approves your RV reservation, you can coordinate a time to pick up your rig or have it delivered to your doorstep or campsite. At that point, the owner will do a key exchange with you and walk you through the RV and answer any questions you might have.
