Set in the stunning Texas countryside, Dupree Park Nature Center is a beautiful 57-acre nature preserve filled with winding walking trails. Located just south of Interstate 30 you’ll find West End Nature Preserve. It is a relatively primitive area, perfect for those that are looking for unspoiled nature, greatly untouched by tourism. Covering 455 acres, it offers a 1.2-mile marked trail that will take you deep into the forest and looping your way back to your RV rental.

Lake Cypress Springs is very popular for those that love the water. The lake is visibly stunning, and has twice been named the ‘Most Beautiful Lake in Texas," and it lies just south of town. Blackhead Highway Visitors Center is the historic home of Col. Henry Clay Thurston, who was actually the tallest soldier in the civil war. The house has been meticulously restored and is a great place for those that are interested in the history of those that once lived in the town. The Old Depot Museum features a model train exhibit and working telegraphy and railroading exhibits.
