Overview

Explore more with "Liza Jane," our 1988 Roadtrek camper van. She still has all her retro charm, but she's just been polished up with a new exterior paint job, bamboo floor, new wall upholstery, and other updates. Mechanically, we keep the van well maintained and it has given us no trouble. With Liza Jane as your transportation and lodging all in one, you'll be ready to adventure your way through northern Michigan! Seats four for driving and sleeps four (rear double bed and two single beds up front). Kitchen includes a sink with running water, propane stove, and refrigerator/freezer. Microwave works when you're plugged into shore power. The toilet is fully functional. There's also a shower, which works fine but we don't have hot water, so it's only for the brave! A propane heater keeps the interior cozy on cold nights. You'll also find plenty of storage space for all your gear. We will include all basic kitchen gear (skillet, saucepan, cutting board, can opener, utensils, plates, cups, mugs, etc.), as well as dish soap, kitchen sponge and towels, toilet paper, and paper towels. Pillows and basic bedding also included, unless you prefer to bring your own. Hitch-mounted rear bike rack (holds up to 4 bikes) and/or rear cargo box included if desired. A few notes: No smoking allowed. Please return the van clean. Pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis - if you are looking to travel with a four-legged friend, please contact us and we can discuss whether your pet and our van are a good fit. No pets should be left unattended in the van at any time. Please note that the hitch is only intended to hold the bike/cargo rack and is not designed for towing. We have put a lot of time and love into this van, and we look forward to sharing it with others who will take good care of her!

This was our first test of van camping, and it was great! Kate was very easy to work with and is a delightful person. Liza Jane is old and has a few quirky aspects but these were outlined ahead of time so we knew what to expect. She is well outfitted with all the little things that make food...

We had a wonderful time at our family reunion. The vehicle was perfect for 2 people. The fridge was a champ, made ice cubes quickly for our many drop in visitors. The ceiling fan kept it cool for a good nights sleep.

The Roadtrek was clean and well equipped. It drove well and served us well for three days at a music festival. The bed was comfortable for two even though I am tall. Overall the experience was good and Kate was very accommodating. The camper is in great shape for a 1988!
