Thinking about visiting Utah? Then you need to visit Sandy! It’s less than 20 miles from Salt Lake City, which makes it a great place to stay close to all the excitement and attractions, but keep a bit far away from the hustle and bustle of city traffic. The Jordan Commons is home to hot restaurants and great venues for live music and other entertainment. Catch a game of soccer at the Rio Tinto Stadium, home of the Real Salt Lake men’s team and Utah Royals FC women’s team. Visitors and residents alike can enjoy a round of golf at one of five beautifully manicured courses. The Jordan River carves its way through the desert nearby, and the city lies between the Great Salt Lake and Utah Lake. To the east rises the Wasatch Mountain Range. There are great opportunities all around Sandy for hiking, biking, fishing, rock climbing, skiing and so much more. Getting around the city is fairly easy in a Sandy rental RV, but you can also park the rental and utilize the Utah Transit Authority buses or TRAX light rail. They make stops all around the city and in neighboring areas, including Salt Lake City.
