We had a blast driving one week around Vancouver island with Aitor's and Venessa's super cool mojito van. Everything went smoothly and the van offered great comfort, enough place to store all our stuff and even to cook a few good meals. Also, Aitor and Venessa were of great help for us to find good places to stay and visit on the island. We only have one regret: it was too short!

Me and my friend had a great time in the van! We spent a week on the island and would do it again. The van ran smoothly and we didn’t have any issues that we weren’t aware of that could happen. We were given a detailed run through of the van before we left for our trip! The host answered any questions that we had on the way.

This westfalia drives very well even if it is almost 40 years old! Driving lights are poor. Passenger mirror doesn't not stay in place. Communication with Venessa is sometimes very good and sometimes poor. Overall a good experience.

Itor and Vanessa were easy to work with and responsive to all our questions and requests. The van was in great shape, comfortable, clean, well appointed (including a cork screw!) and reliable. Would definitely recommend!!!

Great week in a great location. We always wanted to try a Westfalia and this gave us that opportunity at a price we could afford.

So much fun! Easy to drive and easy to use, all the facilities worked great. Super comfy bed too! Would highly recommend this for a couple for a camping trip on the island. We used it as our transport and accommodation for a friends wedding in Port Renfrew and it was great! Venessa communicated well and we met her husband who was a really great guy, he dropped off the westy and showed us how everything works. Thanks for an awesome experience!

I rented the VW Westfalia for a 1 week road trip around Vancouver Island and had such a fantastic time. The van was super comfortable and had everything I needed. It was clean, well equipped, and Vanessa and her husband were really lovely throughout the entire booking and rental process even at such short notice (I picked it up after only 2 days of enquiring!). The van is old, so there are a couple of quirks to it, but overall it ran really well. I rented the van by myself, and never once was worried about anything ever going wrong. I would highly recommend renting this beautiful van!!

We went across Vancouver Island for five days. The Westy is reliable, although quite gas-demanding. If you're over 1,90 m tall, you need to sleep in the top section of the van - that might be cold in spring and early summer since there is only canvas around you - the lower section is not so comfy for big people since it is too short to lay down outstretched.
The fridge was not working. Other people also wrote that. So I wouldn't count on a working fridge. The owner provided a chilly bin. You have to buy a lot of Ice and something to contain it.
Altogether you have to make a few compromises but if you are in backpacker-mood, it takes you where you want to go nicely. The owners are quite caring and the communication is perfect. Worth an adventure!

We spent 4 days driving up the West Coast of the island and staying at camp grounds. The Westy had everything you need for camping out at the beach, super cozy inside and fun to drive!

A very smooth ride. Fridge not working, used for storage only. Renter provided a cooler with ice, so all good. Our family of 4 slept well. Cooking utensils provided and plates and bowls were a bit on the cheap side, but that's a detail. Went to Tofino and the surroundings for a 4 day trip, and had a blast. Venessa and family are super helpful and friendly. Lost a hubcap on the way back and was not charged for it.
