Nestled between the Sammamish Plateau and the eponymous Issaquah Alps to the south, Issaquah is a pleasant lakeside suburb of Seattle, Washington. Issaquah was incorporated in 1892, and for much of its history, it was a mining community due to the resource-rich geology of the area. After the local mines were depleted, Issaquah would become a timber harvesting town, and eventually, a tourism hotspot.

Search for an RV in Issaquah and you will see that the town is quite literally surrounded by lakes, forests, and mountains. A short drive on Interstate 90, or utilizing the King County Metro & Sound Transit opens up the entirety of King County, so places like Bellevue and Seattle can be part of the adventure. Tacoma and the rest of the Puget Sound are not far either when you rent an RV in Issaquah. Delightful scenery and historically significant buildings are always a hallmark of this interesting vacation destination, so pack your bags and head off to this hidden gem of a small town.
