I'm a born and raised maritimer who spent all of her summers growing up at Grand Lake West. As an adult and living closer to the East side of the lake, when the opportunity to purchase a 3 acre waterfront property that would never flood presented itself, we jumped on it. We subdivided the property into 2 lots: my aunt and uncle live year round on one lot and we have the other. Bamboo Beach (named for the abundance of bamboo that grows along the edge of the beach, which we tried desperately to eliminate the first years we were there to no avail) is our happy place. The sunsets don't get anymore beautiful than they are from there. It's where my children's summer memories were made and where we look forward to returning to the very minute we have to leave.
We purchased this property in 2010, spending mostly weekends there from May-October. In 2014, our family moved from New Brunswick to British Columbia. In 2015, we upgraded the RV to a 40 foot model and in 2018, added a bunkie to the property. Every summer, we would return to this little piece of paradise for a few weeks. With Covid 19, it's been 2 years since we've spent any time here and now the kids are older and we aren't able to spend more than a couple of weeks in NB in the summertime. We love this property and though we aren't able to enjoy it as much as we'd like to, we want to others to have the opportunity to experience "lake life"-there's nothing better than being at the lake!

Our stay at this trailer was awesome! From start to finish, Stephanie, the owner, was responsive, friendly, helpful and it was easy to see she wanted to ensure her guests had a comfortable stay. The kids swam in the lake and they used kayaks that were available with this rental. There were only two pairs of water shoes at the trailer so it is a good idea to bring extras as the bottom of the lake is rocky. We already had our own but it was nice that they had some available in case someone forgot their pair. The beds in the camper were pretty comfortable and it was well stocked with linen and warm blankets. The kitchen too was well stocked; therefore we really didn't have to bring anything from home. The fridge is full sized which was great! There were family movies, kids' games, lots of books, and art supplies that we and our kids enjoyed on one of the days that was rainy. There is a bunk house with two sets of bunkbeds which would be great for a family with older kids. The fire pit area was great. There was also a tree swing that the kids loved! Finally, there were some nice personal touches like freezies and a smores kit for our family to enjoy that the kids were very excited about as well as coffee! Overall this was a great stay and we will be booking again in the future!
