2019 Pleasant Valley T@B 320 S

Travel trailerWaterford Twp, MI
Sleeps 2
15 ft. long

This nearly new (2019), small, light weight camper is easy to tow with most any vehicle. It is beautifully designed for comfort and storage. With AC, heat, hot water, wet-bath, 3-way refrigerator, 2 burner stove, sink, and a fully equipped kitchen, it has everything you will need for an enjoyable camping experience. The bed is quite large, 70" X 72" however the inside height is 5'9" so very tall folks may feel a little cramped. That said, most folks are out doors most of the time. What's includedYou will need a trailer hitch with a 2"ball that sits about 17” from ground to top off ball. You also need a 7 prong wiring harness. If yours is hardwired to your tow vehicle brakes, with brake controls installed on or near your dash board, then the trailer brakes will work off that. If not, I have a Bluetooth brake module available for rent. You must have one or the other.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, flatware, cooking utensils and pots and pans. There is an electric hot pot but no coffee maker. Bring your own paper products and equipment for cooking over a campfire if desired. The bed can be made up with 2 sets of twin sheets or king size set - bring your own sheets and bath and kitchen towels.
RecommendationsIf you are new to towing, not to worry. We were all new once! You may wish to review some information ahead of time. I have included some Driving and Setup Tips and resources you might find helpful. This site would not take the links so you will have to search online - sorry.
1. Trailer sway or fishtailing can lead to the rollover of the trailer and tow vehicle, resulting in serious injury or death. Speeds over 55 mph, crosswinds, changing lanes, improper loading of trailer can all contribute to trailer sway.
Following are some resources to reduce trailer sway:
• Search for Carry-on Trailer web site then search for Trailer Sway
• U-Hall has an excellent video dramatizing the importance of proper loading: Search for Safe Trailering Demonstrator on U-Tube
2. You will need to have access to the brake system on the trailer. For this you will need a 7-prong wiring harness on your tow vehicle. If that wiring harness is hard wired to your tow vehicle brakes then it will engage the trailer brakes when you plug the trailer harness into the tow vehicle harness. If your 7-prong is not hardwired to your tow vehicle brakes you will need a Bluetooth brake module that works off your Smartphone. I have one that works very well and is available to rent if you do not have your own.
3. Other driving tips include:
• Make your turns wide.
• Anticipate stops to avoid sudden stops, it will take longer to stop when towing a trailer. NEVER use cruise control while towing.
• Downshift when going down-hill so as not to ride the brakes
Following is an excellent towing resource:
• Search for Carry-on Trailer web site then search for Safer Towing
4. Backing up the camper can be very challenging. The shorter the trailer and the fewer the axels, the more difficult the process becomes. The T@B is very short with only one axel. Please do not hesitate to ask for help if you are having trouble backing up. I have found most experienced campers are happy to help. The following resources may be of assistance in backing up.• Search U-Tube for tutorials on backing up, there are several. How to back up a trailer like a pro - EASY TO LEARN TRICK!!!
Or just search How to Back up a trailer.
5. Look for a level area to park. Use boards that are provided to level side to side first. Then use hitch jack to level front to back. Lower stabilizing jacks only after camper is level. NEVER use stabilizing jacks to level or lift the camper, you will damage the body of the camper. Camper must be level for safe use of propane appliances and AC.
6. There are some excellent video tours of the T@B that review how everything works. Please watch ahead of your trip. Search for tour of or Orientation to 2019 T@B 320-S on Youtube. Princess Craft makes a good one. Watching ahead of time will make your pickup experience faster and more streamlined.
Other things to noteOutdoorsy recommends pickup after 3pm and return before 11am which kind of cuts into vacation time at both ends of your trip. I prefer to rent in 24 hour increments, for example, if pickup is at 10am then return would also be at 10am. A later return can be arranged with a charge of $7/hour for every hour over the return time as long as the camper is returned before dark. This way the first and last days of your trip can have some fun-time squeezed in.
Be sure to allow an hour orientation at pickup and about 15 min for checkout on return.
Please note, this camper is NOT equipped for off road camping. NuCamp makes a Boondock model with larger, wider wheels that sits higher off the ground and has solar panels- but this is not it. Please be sure you have appropriate camp sites reserved for use with my T@B 320.

Meet your host, Joanne

Member since 2019

I have been tent camping and Sunfish sailing for 25 years. I am thrilled to finally get off the ground and do more sightseeing in my new T@B 320-S camper. So much easier and more comfortable than tent camping. Guess my sons will have to start towing the boats! I look forward to meeting others and sharing this great camping experience.

Joanne was friendly, quick to respond, and very flexible as we navigated our rental agreement around severe weather and a changing return date. She provided perfect instruction on the functionality of the camper and was genuinely excited about the trip we were taking. The tab was the perfect camper for a trip through the UP that I took with my 6 year old daughter. It towed perfectly and all of the systems worked as expected.

We enjoyed a 4 nite stay in a primitive campground. We pulled the T@B 320 with 3.6L with no issues. The owner was extremely pleasant, accessible, and patient with us. The RV was clean, well appointed, and everything in fine working order. A near perfect first time experience towing and camping in a small RV.

Joanne was exceptional to rent from & we highly recommend her & her adorable trailer camper! We were first-time Outdoorsy users & Joanne helped us get through a rare technical glitch & an incomplete process (note: add’l drivers must go into their automatically created profile to get verified!). She responded quickly to questions & always followed up to “close the loop”. We were also first-time trailer campers; Joanne provided clear instruction & her documentation was very helpful! She includes all of the useful “extra pieces” you’d want for securing & stabilizing the camper (locks, chocks, boards...). The trailer itself was very clean & stocked with some niceties & key essential supplies, which came in handy. It kept us very warm at night. Thank you, Joanne, for making these “first-time experiences” so easy & enjoyable!

Joanne was thorough and patient in explaining all the details of the trailer, which was important for a first-time trailer user.
