Our 24 ft, class c Thor Four Winds has been with us for several seasons. As a family, we enjoy our time outdoors very much. When we are not adventuring in this reliable hotel room on wheels, we have been entertaining guests renting our rig for five seasons now!
We love first time users and are willing to help any and all achieve their ideal camping experience. Return renters and experienced "road trippers" aren't too bad either :)! Either way, our family prides itself on being available for the inevitable questions that pop up during your experience in a timely and friendly manner from the moment we meet you until the second you return.
Also, before requesting a booking, please provide details about your trip and who is traveling with you! This is to make sure we are the exact rig for your trip. Our goal if for your trip to be everything you want it to be.....Lastly, we do not typically approve "dry camping" or "boondocking" requests. These terms refer to camping or traveling without access to water/sewage/electricity. Perfect rental scenarios usually have all three and are secured before the rental request is made, or shortly thereafter.**We will be winterizing the rig the first week of November, however, we will entertain longer-term requests from people heading to warmer climates on a case-by-case basis. Please message us with your details.**Best,
Matt and Nicole
What's includedThe camper comes with a small propane grill, camp chairs, pots, pans, and utensils. We ask that you bring your linens, towels, and pillows. We supply kitchen towels and potholders. This year we also added a Solo Stove Ranger (it's cool, google it). While not only visually appealing; the Ranger is a smokeless, portable, and self-contained fire pit. RecommendationsThis RV has seen a little of everything in the short time we have owned it; campsites, long drives into Vermont, unplanned weekend getaways, and NFL stadium lots.We keep it loaded for travel on the ready. It's built for long hauls, but more often than not, our family will just bring dinner to the beach and enjoy some time driving it around. This is also an indicator that it is very easy to handle!Other things to noteOur RV is a part of our family and an investment in our time together. Pets are allowed (we love dogs too!) with an additional security deposit. Smoking is not allowed. No boondocking or dry camping. The RV will be given to you with a full tank of gas and the expectation is that you will return it with a full tank. If not, there will be an additional charge.Lastly, there is always a cleaning fee, but the RV needs to come back without trash and empty waste tanks.

We had a great time camping over Columbus Day weekend. This was our first time in an RV. Matt did an excellent job walking me through the ins and outs of setting it up and I had no issues running all of the appliances, etc. Would definitely do it again.

Matthew’s answer

Thank Peter! Glad you had good time. Great to meet you!

Renting from Matt was so easy. He was super responsive the entire time. He answered questions before the trip and made sure we fully understood how everything in the RV worked. We had an amazing time with our grandkids. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed for the week. Thanks for sharing your home on wheels with us!

Matthew’s answer

Thank you so much, Sue! We loved meeting you guys and were glad to have your family as our guests!!!!!

The "Shoreline Explore" is amazing! It is so well stocked with everything you can want. I always over pack expecting kitchen/camping essentials will not be there. Everything I wanted I found. Love the cast iron, the portable gas grill, the iron cook grate. Little things like can openers, corkscrews, sharp knives were all there. Unexpected things like an axe, tools, and a high end solo fire pit were all in the huge storage area underneath. Trust me, other rigs do not include these as I went with five families who also rented RV's. Matthew was an outstanding communicator, and very timely with his responses. Training was great for a pop up camper guy. Honestly the best experience I could have hope for a first time RV renter with no prior experience.

Matthew’s answer

Thanks, Bob! You guys were the best and it was a pleasure meeting you!

Great communication and couple!

As first time renters we were pleasantly surprised at just how much we enjoyed the RV! Upon pickup the owners were extremely helpful and explained all of the particulars. The RV was very clean and ready to go. The ride was smooth, the seats were comfortable, beds were cozy and the heat worked out well on the cold nights. Everything was in good working order and we can not wait to rent it again!

Matthew’s answer

Thanks, Ryane! Best to Keith, glad the trip was a success.

I cannot say enough nice things about Matt, Nicole and our incredible experience in their RV. They are extremely communicative and ready to help with every little thing. The RV is equipped with the fun stuff, the boring (but necessary) stuff, the things you forgot to take and the things you never thought to take. It drives beautifully. This was a great choice for our first RV trip and we look forward to contacting Matt and Nicole for our next adventure.

Matthew’s answer

Thanks Kristina, it was our pleasure. Fingers crossed that your dad gets his solo stove sooner than later!!!!!!!!

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
Pipes, hoses, and cords! We take as much time as you need to answer any questions you may have. The electrical has an adapter and plugs into the electricity post. Usually the water hookup is in the same location. For sewage, look for a inconspicuous pvc pipe with cover (near the other two hook ups). Our hose is stored in the back bumper. It connects from the tank and connects to the ground port. All tanks must be empty prior to return.

Q.Do you have onsite parking for our vehicle?
A.
Unfortunately, we do not. As we live at a boarding school, we cannot have vehicles (other than our own). Most renters live local, some use ride shares to coordinate.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
While we do have flexibility, we try to stay within reason for all parties based on their itineraries. As we both have full time gigs and younger kids, deliveries are not always possible. Please ask first and we will do our best.

Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Oh yes, the green binder. Prior to owning our rig, my father did. In typical "dad" fashion, he got out the ole label maker. He numbered all the important parts of the rig and created a corresponding guide in a green binder, which lives onboard. Most answer reside within the pages. In short, there is a lot of nuance to running a rig, we try to break it down to the simplest form to take out the guesswork.
