Meet your host, Jason

Member since 2018

My name is Jason, the owner of this 2015 Salem Hemisphere Lite travel trailer. My wife, Elizabeth, and I purchased this trailer to live in it in 2016 but we ended up buying a house after owning it only three months. The trailer had everything we needed for a long stay but I was getting ready to retire from the Navy and now our trailer is for our renters to enjoy. Besides from renting our trailer, I have patented designs for desk Lamps with an interesting look. Between renting our trailer and designing lamps keeps me busy after my retirement. We don't have kids, unfortunately, but we do spoil our nieces and nephews. We got exactly what we were looking for in a trailer. It has a spacious living area and a kitchen island and a tall ceiling while taking a shower. Our trailer does not look big from the outside but as soon as you walk in it is very spacious and very comfortable with tons of storage. We have tent camped since childhood and love camping as adults, except this kind of camping is on a whole new level. It's just like home away from home except our neighbors keep changing. We hope you have a good time during your stay and if there is anything we can do to make it more enjoyable please let us know.

The camper trailer was a perfect fit for my family's weekend getaway. Everything in the trailer worked as it was described and expected. My truck was able to hook and pull the trailer without any issues. Jason was very thorough in his explanation and overview of the trailer and how to properly set it up and use it. Overall, the weekend was one to remember for us all and Jason's trailer made that happen!

Really great experience and can't speak more highly of Jason. I'm new to Outdoorsy but have use their competitor sites before. Jason walked me through all the nuances of the trailer and provided everything we would need for our trip. He was quick to respond and answered all questions promptly. The return was quick and easy as well. No issues and I'd highly recommend renting from him. The trailer was solid and had no issues, making our trip the great experience we were hoping for. Thank you, Jason.

Jason is very friendly and helpful. We did not have any issues with our rental. Delivery was on time and everything that you need in the kitchen is in the trailer. Living area was great to hang out at night. The queen size pull out sofa bed fit my two college age daughters.
Plenty of storage space in the bedroom and living room.
The built-in vacuum made clean up a breeze. Overall, great trailer for a family of 5 adults.
I recommend Jason for your camping needs.

The RV was everything we expected. Jason is very friendly, informative and thorough explaining how the RV operates. Thank goodness for the AC because we camped the hottest week at Vail Lake Resort, Temecula CA

Have a question?Get answers directly from the host

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
On the day of your rental, the trailer can be picked up no earlier than 9:00 am. The day of return, the trailer needs to be parked out front, parallel with the street, on the dirt with the front of trailer jack down on the concrete and chalked. Should be back to allow atleast an hour before it gets dark fot a exterior inspection and post trip pictures.

Q.Do I have to dump the waste tanks prior to returning the trailer ?
A.
If your campsite did not offer a place to hook up the sewer hose and your waste tanks are full, you will have to drain the tanks at a waste dump station. There are 3 total waste tanks to dump. The dump tank handles that you would pull are color coded and located exactly below the respective stickers. From left to right the stickers above the waste tank handles are as follows: Gray tank, Black tank, Gray tank. Below those stickers along the large black waste drain line you will see the handles.

Q.Do I have to dump the waste tanks while my campsite has full hookups by just leaving the waste tank handles pulled out?
A.
Absolutely not. If you leave the tank handles pulled out will cause the formation of a mountain directly below the drain. It doesn't take long for a tiny mountain of waste to run havoc on one of your senses. All waste tanks should have just a little bit of water at the bottom after draining the tanks especially the black tank. The black tank should also have a treatment solution added to it as well and should have atleast an inch high of water/solution in the bottom to keep the tank wet.
