2003 Volkswagen Eurovan Camper
Take the rough out of roughing it and take this nostalgic VW van camper for a weekend in J-Tree, What this van lacks in rear-mounted engines, flat-front ends, and slow-lane driving, it makes up for with a powerful, reliable, and most importantly, safe drive with all the Winnebago accouterments you would need to rough it smoothly. Did we mention? We're about an hour's drive from the heights of the San Bernardino Mountains, Mojave Desert/ Joshua Tree, or LA and Orange County Beaches.The Eurovan Full Camper is perfect for singles or couples looking to unplug, but versatile enough to accommodate up to 4 comfortably (2 up top and 2 on the lower bed). The 2.8L VR6 Volkswagen Eurovan is rugged enough to conquer the hills and grades found in the Western States and still averages 18-22 MPG. Our 2003 Eurovan Camper features the 24-valve version of the Eurovan engines offering more horsepower and torque than earlier models. Unlike its predecessors, the front-wheel drive and agile turning radius make getting into those compact sites no problem. First time Van Camping? The Eurovan is a compact option to standard RVs. Although four people fit in, two of them may rather be kids as beds are a bit tight. The vehicle has powerful engine and fits into almost any paved road around western US. Also is rather savvy on fuel. Driving it is simply no hassle. Myself and my family have enjoyed the trip, the van has become our second home. You have to be a bit fit to get to upper deck, but being fit is what you want anyway 😉

This was my first time renting a camper van and I'm so glad I went to Mary! She was so thorough with the walk-through and explanation of all the functions of the vehicle, I felt confident and prepared to rough it in Joshua Tree for six days. I added on a couple comfort packages- kitchen supplies and sleeping bags etc, and we had everything we needed and more.
One note- experienced friends recommended we rent the smallest vehicle available so as to avoid any difficulty finding appropriate camp sites- I'm glad we took the advice for the experience but I would probably go for a vehicle with a larger sleeping area in the future. My husband and I spent 3/5 nights sleeping on different levels, purely for space and comfort, easier to roll over and find comfy positions. For reference, he's 6'2" sm-med build and I'm 5'9" XL/14 build. For smaller people it's probably perfect. For our size or larger finicky sleepers, Mary has another vehicle that would offer more space.
Highly recommend this vehicle and Mary, thanks for everything!

Chris and Mary were amazing! Everything was so easy from selecting the vehicle, to arranging pick up and drop off and the explanation of how to use everything was thorough. We had such a great time with the Eurovan and we will definitely be renting again from Chris and Mary.
