Yuba City, California is in the northern half of the state, about 20 miles north of Sacramento. John Sutter, the man upon whose land gold was discovered in 1848, leading to the Gold Rush of 1849, was granted a large expanse of land by the Mexican government in the area that would become Yuba City. It became a steamboat landing in 1852 as more and more people moved into the area in pursuit of their own gold. To the west is Mendocino National Forest near Red Bluff, California. To the northeast is Plumas National Forest, due east of Chico. On the way to Carson City, Nevada is top of National Forest. When you book an RV in Yuba City, you will have plenty of natural wonder with the great outdoors surrounding you in almost every direction.
