This small town is situated a short drive of less than 10 miles from the Tennessee border on the Kentucky side. Albany is one of the larger towns, locally, with the larger city of Bowling Green lying around 100 miles to the west. The town sits near the midpoint between both Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky, at around 150 miles from each.

The region is fairly rural, but it is rich with natural and historical sites and state parks to explore. There's also a large reservoir and a national forest nearby, both offering numerous recreational opportunities. Wineries and restaurants dot the local area, great places for you to rest your feet after a day of adventures.
