Incorporated in 1880, Amity, Oregon is a quaint village between Salem and Portland. This fabulous locale is situated west of the Cascade Mountains in the temperate, rainy climates of coastal Oregon.

The town was first settled by two brothers, Joseph and Ahio S. Watt, who traveled out west on the infamous Oregon Trail. The name Amity was chosen when a dispute was settled between two communities, conveying peaceful vibes and an easygoing atmosphere. In fact, the town’s motto says “Where Friendship Begins,” which is a lovely sentiment to exude, especially when it comes to attracting tourism.

Amity isn’t as well-known as Portland, Eugene, or Salem, but it is close enough to these Oregon hotspots to warrant a visit. When you book an RV in Amity, all of western Oregon and beyond can be at your fingertips, from the stunning coastline to the rigid Cascade Mountains.
