Discover Cocoa Beach

The Great Outdoors

When you book an RV in Cocoa Beach, you will have access to several unique recreational locations. Cocoa Beach has an abundance of outdoor spaces so you can indulge in all sorts of exciting activities!

Cocoa Beach itself is a huge attraction in the area, pulling millions of visitors each year! Don’t worry though; located on such a huge expanse of coastline there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the warm sunshine and seawater without feeling like you might trip over your neighbor. Spend a few hours soaking in the rays before taking a walk up to the Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier. Here, you will find numerous tour operators offering an opportunity for you to enjoy a variety of outdoor adventures. Try your hand at surfing, parachuting, and even sea fishing – you may just discover a new talent!

If you are not too keen on getting sand between your toes, there are many other options for relaxing close to the sea. Shepard Park and Sidney Fischer Park are both grassy areas with oceanfront views. Ideal for a lazy day idling in the sun with a well-stocked picnic basket and a great place to park your Cocoa Beach luxury motorhome rental.

Head down to the south end of Cocoa Beach and you will stumble across the mysterious and intriguing Thousand Islands. Located in the Banana River Lagoon, this beautiful collection of islands transports you to an exotic land filled with mangrove tunnels and saltwater marshes. Canoe, kayak or motorboat your way through this beautiful maze, keeping an eye out for eagles and ospreys as well as dolphins and manatees depending on the season!

RV Parks

When you rent a camper in Cocoa Beach, you will need someplace to park it for the night. Being located near the ocean, the area caters to out-of-town visitors.

Jetty Park Campground, found in the north of the island is one of the more popular campgrounds on the peninsula. Bookings are accepted a year in advance so make sure you plan if you want to stay here! The setting is second-to-none – with the beautiful Atlantic Ocean to your east and the quaint town of Cape Canaveral to your west, you couldn’t wish for a more convenient and beautiful spot to enjoy for up to 168 days a year!! What’s even better is that full hookups for your RV are available.

If you have fallen out of luck and Jetty Park Campground is full, Port Canaveral Trailer Park is just up the road and shares the same perks, although with a slightly older façade. Keep an eye out for the friendly resident peacocks!

Closer to the Banana River Lagoon, Manatee Cove Campground is a perfect option. Sites are on a first come first serve basis so come early if you want a place to stay that night! With close proximity to the lagoon, this campsite is ideal in the December months when guests are most likely to see the gentle manatee on its annual migration to warmer waters.

Exploring the City

Cocoa Beach is not just your average beach town. With annual surfing competitions, a buzzing atmosphere in the center of town and the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station just up the road, there is enough to keep you entertained here for weeks!

An unlikely competitor for one of the best attractions in Cocoa Beach is the Florida Surf Museum. This museum exhibits and documents all the present and past surfing history of the East Coast, with incredible photos on display and in-depth histories of the great surfers of our time. If the turquoise waters haven’t convinced you to jump on a surfboard yet, this museum has some awe-inspiring photos that will!

Can you imagine being able to watch a rocket launch whilst sunbathing on a picture-perfect beach? Well, you are able to do just that in Cocoa Beach. Kennedy and Cape Canaveral Space Launch Center is situated at the very north of the peninsula and is an excellent place to get up close and personal with some renowned rockets, learn all about NASA’s history, and if you time it right, you can be nearby for the rocket launch! How cool would that be!

The town of Cocoa Beach itself is well worth a wander around. With an excellent variety of restaurants to suit the budget and taste buds of everyone in your group.

If it’s a relaxing week in the Floridian sunshine that you are seeking, consider an RV rental in Cocoa Beach! Appreciate a picture-perfect sunset over the Atlantic Ocean, enjoy the local cuisine and explore the unique landscape. Rent an RV in Cocoa Beach, FL, and explore The Sunshine State!
