The Great Outdoors

The city of Dexter itself has multiple parks to be enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. Monument Park can be found in the Downtown area and is a good open space for walking and relaxing. Mill Creek Park is a relatively new park, and as the name suggests, is located along the banks of Mill Creek, which can make a good backdrop for a picnic. Peace Park is the one to head to if you are looking for views, as it is located on top of a hill. All of the town parks are well maintained and offer an escape from town life without having to travel too far. Any of these parks would make a great place to start your outdoor adventure.

Hudson Mills Metropark is lovely park just outside of the town and makes for a good day trip in your RV rental from Dexter. It benefits from the historic river flowing through it, with the gentle rapids helping to make it a very picturesque place to be. In addition to being a good place for relaxation and picnicking, there is also an 18 hole golf course and two 24 hole disc golf courses. There is also a three-mile loop and a five-mile loop full of hiking and biking paths to enjoy, and many sports game fields to enjoy a friendly family game.
