Platted in 1806 and named for an American general, Eaton is a wonderful community outside of Dayton in western Ohio. What was originally a rural town has slowly morphed into a suburb of Dayton due to the encroaching sprawl of the metro area over the years.

Eaton is a fantastic place to rent an RV and take your next vacation. The nearby city of Cincinnati to the south is always a great place to visit when you book an RV in Eaton, and both Kentucky and Indiana are within reach too, should you envision a multi-state adventure. With all the cities of Ohio, fantastic interstate highways, and a series of impressive state parks around every corner, it is no wonder why Eaton has solidified itself as a premier destination for vacationers. If you want to maximize the amount of fun you’ll encounter, try aiming for the summer and fall when you can take part in festivities like the Preble County Fair or the Preble County Pork Festival.

Caesar Creek State Park is also worth visiting, over between the cities of Dayton and Cincinnati, complete with its own heritage village and nature center for visitors to learn about the history and natural surroundings of the area. Hiking trails, lush forests, and scenic lakefront camping make for quite the experience in this southern Ohio park.

If you want to hit the road for a road trip, head to the other side of Ohio and visit The Buckeye State’s lone national park. City Sightseeing

Eaton is a charming, inviting place to visit in its own right, but doesn't have much when it comes to sightseeing, museum hopping, and big-city nightlife. The Dayton Art Institute is loaded with galleries and exhibits, with masterpieces from around the world on display. Since 1919, Dayton Art Institute has added a much-needed dose of culture to the city, giving people a space to appreciate the arts and inspire themselves to unleash their creativity.
