Fort Leonard Wood, nestled into the Missouri Ozarks in the southern region of the state, is a U.S. Army base, one of the largest in the country. For the military, the fort is home to several of the engineering and mechanical schools that help keep the military on the edge of progress. The fort was established just before America joined World War II, and has gone on to absorb the duties of other military bases that have been disbanded and closed in the surrounding region. The closest town to the base is Waynesville, Missouri, just a short drive to the north. When you rent an RV in the area, you will be able to visit the military base provided you have made prior arrangements.

When you book an RV in Pulaski County, you will be able to explore the peaks and foothills of the Missouri Ozarks, the lush forests, and even the banks of the Mississippi River. This Midwestern state offers adventurers a beautiful insight into the biodiversity of this expansive country.

You can rent a boat at the state park and enjoy your day on the water. Anglers who visit the park also have caught their fair share of bass, crappie, and catfish. Not only that, but Pomme de Terre boasts being the only lake in Missouri where you can hope to catch muskellunge, a type of pike.
