Hop into your motorhome rental from Glen Rock and visit Codorus State Park, which is minutes away from town. Encompassing 3,500 acres, it’s a popular destination for visitors and locals in the southern York area. A small lake allows for scuba diving, sailing, kayaking, and fishing. Fishermen will find largemouth bass, yellow perch, crappie, muskellunge, catfish, northern pike, bluegill, and a few other uncommon species. Rainbow and brown trout may also be found in colder waters, near the Codorus Creek.

This park also offers a 54-hole disc golf and a small swimming pool. In winters, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice skating and fishing, and ice sailing are popular activities. Small-game hunting is permitted, though with limitations.

For more solitude, the Michaux State Forest covers over 85,000 acres of land, one of the largest in south-central Pennsylvania.
