Nestled in the middle ground between northern and central Texas, the town of Malone sits in between the cities of Waco and Dallas. This small Texas town paints the picture of rural Texas. While staying in or around Malone, you will get a better understanding of the important things in life: the open road, a big blue sky, and good food. As your journey into Texas begins, you will have easy access to a variety of Texas’ natural wonders, such as the lakes, forests, and rocky hills. With so much to explore, you better mosey on over to the Lone Star State.

There is no public transportation in the area, so keep that in mind when you rent an RV. However, the old adage is true: everything is bigger in Texas – even the roads.

When you book an RV in Hill County, be sure to allow yourself the time necessary to explore everything around you. Just because Hill County and the surrounding counties may be some of Texas’ smallest doesn’t mean that they are small on adventure.

Or instead, you can rent a boat and explore the beauty of the lake from the water itself.

If you want to spend some time on the shores of a lake but are looking for a few more options, then look to Lake Whitney State Park in Whitney, Texas. At Lake Whitney, you can also enjoy the lakeside beaches, fishing, and boat rentals, but you can also head out on the trails and do a little bit of wildlife viewing.

Just a short drive away is the Mother Neff State Park near Moody, Texas. Don’t let the relatively small size of just over 250 acres fool you, there is something truly unique about Mother Neff. One of the first state parks of Texas, Mother Neff is home to unique limestone formations, lush forests, and sapphire blue pools. You can see wildflowers in the prairies in the spring, or hike through the canyons in the fall. Regardless of what you choose to do, you will feel as though you’ve stepped into a mystical land filled with wonder as you explore the beauty of the park.
