The wonderful, little town of Palmer Lake is found approximately halfway between two of Colorado’s largest cities, Colorado Springs and the state capital Denver. The region in which Palmer Lake is situated is referred to as the tri-lakes area, named for Lake Woodmoor, Palmer Lake, and Monument Lake.

This rapidly growing community in Colorado’s Front Range has been continuously occupied for thousands of years by the Ute, Kiowa, Cheyenne, and Arapaho indigenous tribes. When settlers arrived from out East in the mid-19th century, they chose Palmer Lake and the tri-lakes area to build homesteads and communities beneath the towering peaks of the Rocky Mountains. The community was a crucial stopping point between Denver and Colorado Springs, especially for locomotives that required water from the lakes to feed its steam engines along the way. The town population was further boosted with the rise of large-scale agriculture, as well as the establishment of the United States Air Force Academy nearby.

When you book an RV in Palmer Lake, you will find yourself enjoying the best of both worlds. Awesome city attractions, retail shopping in Colorado Springs, and some pretty amazing food are just a few reasons to rent an RV Palmer Lake but don’t forget that the town is a known recreation hub particularly for outdoors enthusiasts.
