There is no other city with the same name – book an RV in Paragould, and you will find that its name is a combination of two last names, Paramore and Gould. At the end of the 19th century, these two competing railroad magnates built two railroads that intersected at the place where the city lies today. With its location atop the extraordinary Crowley’s Ridge in the northeastern corner of Arkansas, it is the perfect place to rent an RV and discover the impressive nature of the region known as the Upper Delta.

Jonesboro is about half an hour's drive away, home to Arkansas State University and its great museums, as well as numerous green parks. With countless spots dedicated to music history such as Graceland and Sun Studio, Memphis is another must-visit city you can quickly reach. A couple of hours on the road is all it takes to get to Little Rock, the state capital welcoming visitors with excellent museums, historical attractions, and the lively atmosphere of its Market District.

Discover Paragould

The Great Outdoors

Every nature lover renting an RV in Paragould has to explore Crowley’s Ridge, rising above the Mississippi River like an island. There is no better place to do this than visiting Crowley’s Ridge State Park, one of the stops on Crowley's Ridge National Scenic Byway. Anglers will find a stocked lake, and if you are in the mood for a swim, there is a smaller lake waiting for you. Another way to explore the park is hiking and wildlife viewing on the way through the woods. The beauty of the park is enhanced by the wonderful stone and wood structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Continue going west, and you will arrive at Lake Charles State Park, an oasis of peace and tranquility. Campers will be thrilled to find that they can park their Paragould RV rental by owner right next to Lake Charles, a haven for anglers, boaters, and swimmers. Hiking trails go around the lake, and wonderful picnic areas dot the park. If you want to do some exploring indoors, the nature center is the place to be.

A river without a single dam on it is a rare sight, and you can witness it if you park your Paragould RV rental at the Buffalo National River. Spending a few hours on the road is worth it when you are greeted with incredible scenery of towering bluffs guarding the bubbling rapids of this wild river. It is no wonder that kayaking, canoeing, and tubing are some of the most popular activities in the park. One of the highlights is definitely Hemmed-In-Hollow Falls, a magnificent waterfall dropping from more than 200 feet. Spend some time near this jewel of nature and find out why it was the first designated National River in the country.

Restless spirits looking for an area of endless wilderness should go straight to the west until they enter the enormous Ozark National Forest. It is home to Ozark Highlands Trail, the longest of all found in the forest. Another natural phenomenon hiding in the forest is Blanchard Springs Caverns, an underground kingdom of jaw-dropping rock formations.
