When the Santa Ana Line of the Los Angeles Interurban Railway started service in 1905, it allowed the region that is now known as Stanton to begin growing. The town is named after Republican assemblyman from Los Angeles Philip A. Stanton. The area saw its first major population boom after World War II during the 1950s. In 1956, this area was reincorporated into the City of Stanton. When you search for an RV in Stanton, you will only be a couple of miles away from some major theme parks, including Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm.

While you may be hard-pressed to find large natural parks in or immediately around Stanton, you’re only a short drive away from Limestone Canyon Regional Park near Irvine. You can also head past Temecula on the other side of that regional park and visit Cleveland National Forest, which is home to Palomar Mountain and the Palomar Observatory. Farther to the east is San Bernardino National Forest, home to Mount San Jacinto, which can have a nice cap of snow much of the year.

The Great Outdoors

Many people put Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure on their list of places to visit, especially when they have the best RV rental Stanton has to offer. If you have young children, waiting on lines at these parks can get a bit frustrating. Those kids can get restless. If you’re in California Adventure, head over to the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail where the kids can run around, let off some steam and energy, and it’s like visiting a state park in the middle of Anaheim. It’s also considered a playground for big kids (meaning you), so have some fun.

Stanton Central Park is a clean, decent playground for young children. There’s a splash pad during the warmer months and the restrooms are quite clean. If you enjoy tennis, basketball, or doing some skateboarding, this park has all of that to enjoy.

The El Dorado Nature Center is located in Long Beach and offers a great place to simply take a stroll and relax. When you have a camper rental in Stanton and want to get out for a couple of hours, you can enjoy either a short walk or a short hike. It’s a good place to relax.

RV Parks

There are some Walmarts in the area where you may be able to stay for a night or two, just be certain to talk to management before setting your RV rental in Stanton overnight.

Village RV Park is located not too far away in Westminster. They do offer full hookup service, including 50 amp electric. The park offers daily, weekly, and long-term stay options.

Orangeland RV Park is located in Orange and it’s relatively large. They have pull-through sites and big rig access as well as full hookups, including 30 and 50 amp electric. They have quite a few amenities on site, including showers, restrooms, a camp store, and laundry facilities. It’s less than a 15-minute drive from Disneyland. They have paved sites with grass, a table, and chairs. They also have a playground and short and long-term options available.

Anaheim RV Park is pretty much at the back door of Disney. You can enjoy the fireworks display every night if you wish, and when you have a motorhome rental in Stanton, this can be an exciting place to stay, especially if you have young children who are giddy and anxious to head over to the parks.

Exploring the City

Few people will rent an RV in this area of the country and not plan to visit the theme parks. For those who have never been to this theme park before, it can be an exciting adventure. Both Disneyland and California Adventure are literally across a small plaza from one another; you can walk from one to the other in less than three minutes.

If you plan on doing a different type of amusement park, you can find other smaller parks nearby that might be just the ticket. While they aren't as large as the main attractions in the area, they do have a couple roller coasters and other rides to enjoy.

Keeping with the theme of amusement parks, you might want to check out Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park. This was once a working berry farm that has become one of the most popular theme parks throughout California. As you can see, there are plenty of amusement park options when you have an RV rental in Stanton.
