With its name translating as “running water,” Tamaqua, Pennsylvania is a historic borough in eastern Schuylkill County. It was first settled in 1799 when a sawmill was established at the confluence of the Little Schuylkill River and Panther Creek (where downtown Tamaqua lies today), with coal mining and the railroads both playing an important role in its development.
Tuscarora is a picturesque destination to rent an RV while exploring the natural reserves of Schuylkill County. It has a great selection of family-friendly RV campgrounds on its doorstep, as well as historic towns and the oldest continuously operated anthracite coal mine in the world.

Admire the vintage rolling stock on display and step inside the recreated 1930's Station Agent’s Office. Hamburg is just a short drive from Roadside America, an incredible miniature village that was created by Laurence Gieringer in 1935. Aside from the meticulously created village, it also features "O" gauge trains, trolleys, and cable cars.
