Taylor is a typical Texan town, located just up the road from the sprawling metropolis of Austin. Located at the intersection of Route 95 and 79, the city is just a stone’s throw away from the larger cities of Round Rock and Temple.

Originally settled by a German and Slavic community in 1876, the town was built in anticipation of the new International-Great Northern Railroad. Aptly, Taylor was named after one of the railroad officials, Edwards Mosses Taylor. Thanks to the newly improved transport links, the town quickly became a popular shipping point for cattle, grain, and cotton, industries that still continue to thrive.

Taylor has a rich and unique culture that has been shaped by years of having a diverse population. Lots of people choose to book an RV in Taylor to explore its historic downtown area, take advantage of the stunning lakes, and indulge in a classic Texan BBQ.
