Just outside of Seattle, WA lies the beautiful island of Vashon. Surrounded by plenty of water, this island is perfect for swimmers, anglers, and water sports in the summer months. Way back in the 1700s, Captain George Vancouver of the British Royal Navy named the island after his friend James Vashon. Back then, Vashon was mostly used as a base for fishing and logging. The abundance of trees made it a huge source of wood in the area.

Although there is an airport on the island of Vashon, it doesn't have any regularly scheduled flights. The best way to get on and off the island is via ferry. There are plenty of docks around the island to take you to Seattle and the surrounding cities. If relaxing on a secluded island surrounded by sparkling waters sounds nice to you, then book an RV in Vashon and head out on the vacation of a lifetime.
