Aside from being incredibly fun to say, Walla Walla is an amazing little city in southeastern Washington state. The town is named for its original inhabitants, the Walla Walla indigenous people, whose name means “the land of many waters”. Early settlers first began to arrive in Walla Walla in the early nineteenth century and a long period of turmoil and conflict between the pioneers and natives ensued for many years. Fort Walla Walla was originally a fur trading outpost but later evolved to become a significant stopping point for pioneers heading westward along the Oregon Trail.

At one point Walla Walla was slated to become the state capital and was the largest city in the northwest due to the influx of migrants seeking to make it rich in the gold rush. Nowadays, this peaceful city on the Oregon-Washington state line remains one of Washington's best-kept secrets. When you search for an RV in Walla Walla, you open yourself up to experiencing iconic city streets with fabulous old buildings, a bevy of cultural institutions and museums, and incredible food and wine. In addition to these city attractions, there are also amazing forests, mountains, and lakes nearby.
