Amazing Trip!!! My 2 friends and I rented from Dorothy and Jeff for a girls trip for about a week in mid September and I can’t thank them enough for such an awesome trip!!! We had a rental cancel on us due to mechanical problems, 4 days before we were set to fly into Vegas, so I was scrambling to find a new RV for our trip. I immediately knew this was going to be a great trip because Dorothy was so communicative and answered all of my questions, which were probably fairly annoying since I had never rented a RV before and now had someone cancel last minute. Being our first time driving a RV, we were a little nervous but Jeff took us through the whole process step by step and let us practice with him on board until we were ready. He went through everything for the hookups and how to empty the tanks and made the whole experience seem easy. Once we got on the road the nerves were gone because the Thor Freedom Elite, or as we referred to her as - Jane, was extremely easy to drive. We took her from Vegas to Sequoia NP, through King’s Canyon, to Yosemite and back to Vegas. It was an amazing trip and we wouldn’t have been able to see so much if we hadn’t had a reliable RV to drive. She was small enough for the tight roads of Yosemite but we did rent a car in Visalia to take into Sequoia b/c those roads are hairpin turns and not recommended for RV’s longer than 22ft. We were happy we got the car (we used Budget, $34 for the day, unlimited mileage) because those roads were scary narrow lol Having a full bathroom with separate shower on board, a kitchen to cook with, and refrigerator with separate freezer was awesome. They provided all the basic cooking supplies, all the linens for the beds, pillows, blankets, towels and wash clothes for the shower. The beds were extremely comfortable, they are more firm than soft but I have back problems with a bulging disc so I prefer it that way and didn’t have any issues. My friends said they slept well on the bunk bed and kitchen convertible bed too. Dorothy was awesome and was readily available to answer any questions throughout the trip (like when we forgot there was a main switch for the radio and backup camera and couldn’t get it to work🤦🏻‍♀️) and they were flexible in our return when the weather wasn’t great and it was taking us longer to get back to Vegas than Google Maps had told us. They even give you 4 camp chairs and a table that came in handy when sitting around the campfire at night. There’s plenty of overhead storage on board for all of your clothes and food and our suitcases fit underneath in the extra storage. For 24ft, it’s amazing how much we brought and had room for. The only thing I would recommend bringing or that they provide is spices for cooking. They have salt and pepper and cooking oil, and tin foil for campfire cooking but we had to buy garlic and onion powder, and a few other basic spices that didn’t cost all that much, but would have been nice to have. Other than that, bring your clothes, buy your food and get on the road because Jane is ready to roll!
