Do not rent this RV! The owner does not take care/maintain her unit and knew this ahead of time before renting it to us for a long road trip. I originally found this unit on RVshare website, but the owner insisted we transact through Outdoorsy, so she could get a higher payout.Within the first 24 hours of the rental, the following instances occurred:
>water pump not working properly, not turning on when supposed to, contacted owner but she had no solution, said never happened before, I manually serviced this by priming the pump and using a couple of other YouTube tips
>My 7 year old daughter was the first to use the restroom and said it wouldn’t flush, we found out the sewage (black tank) from the previous renter was filled up all the way and not drained, which also caused a clog. We had to drain and plunge someone else’s waste.
>smell of mildew/mold, my family cleaned the carpets and the smell persisted, wet spots (moisture) was found within the cabinets, saturated the RV manuals and some cabinetry/walls
>Rear outer right tire has a hole that lined up with previous pointed out damage, this made us anticipate a blowout, we were going to have the tire replaced but the return of funds was about 4-6 weeks so we decided against it and to refill the air for safe driving
>Driving from Texas to Michigan, the driving experience was extremely horrid that I had to use extreme arm strength to hold the wheel and keep the RV in the lane, after some advice I check the air in the tires to find out they were all around 40 psi instead of the stamped 120 psi!!!! The owner let this unit sit and not get maintained, aired, letting the tires deflate. This was not seen at pickup because of how large the tires are but can be proven based on my photos before and after inflating. I even tried to get them serviced by a truck stop tire shop, but the attendant said they are not allowed to touch tires below 80 psi, so I aired them up myself with the help of my daughter after working on them for 2 hours.
>The owner pointed out a broken interior storage door, as if it was stuck, but we did not expect that it could be opened by a tin of dominos which fell onto my daughters head in the middle of driving during the night
>During our second night (first night at a campsite), the large slide opened crooked, unable to completely open and close, getting stuck. Upon personal inspection I found the problem was due to previous damage which caused gasket to bind in the track, this was removed to correctly function, my sons and I had to manually push the slide back in to be as close to flush as possible so we could start the RV and drive. I called the owner in the morning and she acted as if this never happened and had no solution for us. I called the owner again a bit later and she did not pick up, which told me she did not want to help us and did not care. At one point she even admitted that maybe she shouldn’t have even rented it to us! We then dealt with Outdoorsy support for the rest of our trip.
>As demonstrated by the owner, my wife and I have to push the interior slide of the bedroom while holding the button so it goes out even or it would bind, this was much harder than described by owner
>The air conditioning was dripping inside the main hallway through the return vent
>The kitchen faucet neck was unscrewed/not properly attached, causing the counter to flood when using the sink for the first time
>Fan and ceiling light in bathroom does not work
>Lights in storage bays do not work
>The wet bay hot supply line was manipulated/capped off, causes sanitary wash off station unusable, wet bay knob falls off, non-functioning
>Mileage said to be 13,000 but given to me with 48,000
>Described to be practically brand new, but even if it was cleaned the way we did it is no where near “like new”
>Seatbelts no where to be found
>Metal rusting prominent in refrigerator
>Oven does not work
>Was told by owner the ABS light is on but they had it checked out and it is okay, I’ve found it to turn on and off at different times while driving, very unsettling.
>Blood splatters across skylight in shower
>Dirt dauber nests present inside the unitOutdoorsy and the owners misrepresented this RV and took advantage of a desperate family, whose plans were tossed last minute by a reservation that was cancelled by a different owner, whole different story.During the rest of the trip the following incidents occur:
>generator carburetor stopped functioning, called Outdoorsy roadside who backed up my maintenance claim. I contacted the owner to let her know it will take us longer to get home because there was no a/c for my 6 children, she couldn’t care less and demanded I pay for my extra days when I already explained the issues we had and the need to keep the temperature down inside the unit while driving. Outdoorsy roadside could not find anyone is all of Michigan who could help with the generator so I drove my family a couple hours at a time with the windows down during cool air hours and stopped when it got hot. The owner persisted to message me demanding money for the 2 extra days it took me to get home and when confronted with facts and the issues with the unit, all she could say was “please stop harassing me”. The owner blamed me for not informing her of my full refund claim and acted as if these mechanical/structural issues were my doing. The owner then said if I do not return on time she would report it STOLEN.
>The front half of the a/c is not up to par of the back half
>The hall light had freezing water dripping from the light switch, I’ve never seen this before
>I cleaned the nasty air filters to give us cleaner air as they were not maintained

>water dripping in bedroomWhile writing this the owner submitted a claim to Outdoorsy saying I damaged her bathroom door, which has absolutely no damage from me and I can prove it. After discussing this with Outdoorsy, her claim was canceled due to lack of evidence of physical damage. She is 100% trying to pull a scam and my family is the first to see it. From the amount of mold present, my 7 year old daughter woke up the following morning with an impetigo on her cheek and most of my kids and my wife were sick the second half of our trip.I am currently in a Fair Claims dispute with the Owner and Outdoorsy to get this listing off this site. It is unbelievable how much this owner tries to get away with, I beg you DO NOT rent from her, they purposely want something to happen to you so they can make a claim and swindle you with their “luxury” RV!Edit: I see the owner has responded to my review, but instead of taking responsibility for our horrendous experience, she decides my claims are “flat out false and made up.” If this were true, I would not have evidence from pickup showing damage that she tries to put on me just to win. She tries to back her side with the only evidence that she is the owner and a mother of 4, this is not evidence but proves the owner has nothing to bring forward but a horribly maintenanced RV and greed.If she “only sends out safe FV and if they are unfit for travel she cancels”, then what was it in March that caused 2 cancellations. Could it be the generator wasn’t working, like it did with me? Or perhaps the slide malfunctioned, as it did with me? Maybe even the tire got the hole and didn’t know what to do, as also in my case. She cannot say “this renter had no intention of paying from the beginning and started his scam soon after he picked up the RV” when I payed in full before pickup, in addition to the appx. $600 required insurance/roadside assistance that was not able to assist me with the slide, the tire, or the generator.Outoorsy did not side with me initially because they stated my cases were not connected into one to see the full extent of my experience and recommended the Fair Claims ruling. The owner was made aware why we continued the rest of the rental time, as we were almost to Michigan (from Texas) for an important family event and had no intention in turning around when we were so close to our destination, the whole reason for the rental. Yes we were able to use the generator for the drive up, but we were plugged in while in Michigan and said goodbye and prepared to drive home only to find the generator would not start up. After some troubleshooting with Outdoorsy Roadside Assistance and local help, we had no choice but to only drive in the morning with the windows down during cooler air hours. This sufficed until we got further south when the temperature would get up to 93 degrees inside with 6 kids, my wife, and I all sweating profusely. When the owner was made aware of the generator/air situation, she did not care and blamed us, even when we can prove lack of maintenance, and then only cared about collecting more money for the 2 more days it took us to get home. These are not the words of a responsible rv owner.The owner complained I did not contact her until the generator problem as made it a reason for denying my claims, when she was not helpful during the pump and slide issue, so why would she expect me to ask for additional help? It is also not a requirement that I convey anything to the owner and am 100% within my rights to deal only with Outdoorsy Customer Service and reached out to her only as a courtesy. I would not use the previous ratings because obviously something happened between the last good rating, the cancellations, and my rental that caused this RV to go sideways, such as the damage their relative caused to the unit that was told to me at pickup. My suspicion is they were waiting for a big trip to come along so they could point to us and blame us for the damage and get money for it. If I had such an easy trip, why would I spend my time writing all this?
