We have 2 kids, the youngest of whom is about to finish college in Utah. He reignited our interest in camping and the car top tent on our 4Runner removes all the pain! Comfy sleeping on a 4 inch thick mattress and comfy driving in an automatic transmission vehicle that is just the right size to carry all we need and not be a land yacht. Both the car and the tent are simple, sturdy and super dependable. We've been to 15 US states in the last couple years and camped in most of them. Our favorite trip was a Minneapolis to Bend Oregon and back adventure last summer. We boondocked most of it with just the right amount of State Park sites mixed in to really appreciate a shower and sit down toilet! We recognize that it can be a bit intimidating ( not to mention expensive) to check out the whole camping thing. We've tried to put together a grab and go package that will make it easy. We've got trip ideas, recipes, shopping lists and specific pointers that we hope will allow more people to navigate the whole experience without having to go through the pain of trying to figure it all out on their own. We love to share and there are no stupid questions!
