Event information

Carolina Country Music Festival takes place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina annually. All the performances are spread out over four days. Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place serves as the venue for the festival every year with the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk as a primary feature.

An introductory festival took place in 2015 and was organized by the Charlotte-based company Full House Productions. It was attended by more than 20,000 music fans. Over 25,000 people flocked to Myrtle beach in 2016, and the 2017 edition of the event welcomed more than 30,000 people. Thanks to its success, it continues to welcome music fans to the beach in South Carolina.

Performances take place on three different stages spread out over 18 acres of coastal ground. The third stage was added in recent years to accommodate larger crowds and more bands. Some of the artists who have performed at Carolina Country Music Festival in the past include Davisson Brothers Band, Florida Georgia Line, Darius Rucker, Muscadine Bloodline, Gabby Barrett, Dustin Lynch, Morgan Evans, and Eric Church.

Over 30 of the country's most popular artists, as well as emerging new bands, bring the stages alive every year. The festival has evolved to become one of the premier country music events in the U.S. Want to enjoy an oceanside vacation while taking in some great live music? Pack up your RV and head to the Carolina Country Music Festival and camp nearby and close to the beach.

Transportation

Driving

The drive to Myrtle Beach can be a lot of fun. Charlotte sits about three hours to the northwest and Charleston is just over two hours to the south along the coast. There are plenty of interesting stops along the way via either direction, so be sure to check these out en route for an added sense of adventure on your trip. The roads are wide and often somewhat straight compared to the mountainous roads further west.

Parking areas

There are a number of paid parking options nearby such as the Myrtle Beach City Lot. This lot is just minutes from the festival venue, and there is a continuous shuttle service available to get you to and from the event. Parking passes can be purchased on the festival website. You can print your pass at home and get this scanned each day.

Public Transportation

The area has a regularly scheduled bus system that operates seven days a week. Several routes will get you close to one of the entrances. Many festival-goers choose to take a taxi or rideshare service, which will be operating all weekend. A shuttle service will also be running before and after festival hours.

Where to stay

Onsite

Camping onsite or parking overnight on the festival grounds is not an option. You'll need to book a spot at a campsite or RV park nearby.

Nearby

There are a number of RV parks and campgrounds to choose from in the Myrtle Beach area. There's no better way to experience the area than staying close to the beach. Many of them are less than a 20-minute drive away from the venue. They come with facilities like full-hookups, oceanfront views, swimming pool access, recreation centers, and even attached yoga studios.

Getting around

You'll need to get around the festival grounds on foot at the Country Country Music Festival. Scooters, bikes, ATVs, and other personal motor vehicles will not be allowed. The site is ADA compliant and fully accessible. Patrons with disabilities will be permitted to bring service animals. Check the sitemap to see where the entrances and exits are.

What to pack

Clothing

Carolina Country Music Festival takes place near the ocean, and it's likely to be hot and humid. Choose lightweight clothing made of a material like linen or cotton. Avoid clothes made of polyester or rayon as these materials retain heat. Wear closed-toed shoes with socks to protect your feet and avoid blistering.

Gear

Pack a small bag with all the essentials you need for the day like sunscreen, ear plugs, insect repellent, a lightweight blanket, and a fully charged phone. Also, be sure to carry a valid ID and take any medically necessary items you need. These will be allowed in after proper inspection.

Health & Safety

You're likely to be walking around and standing in the sun all day. So, slather on plenty of sunscreen and wear shoes that offer proper support. Eat breakfast before you get there and stay hydrated so that you can keep your energy up. Avoid tiring yourself out by trying to pack too much into a single day.

Where to eat

Cooking

Guests will not be allowed to cook at the venue, and outside food or beverages are not permitted. If you'd prefer to make your own meals and snacks, check the rules and restrictions of your chosen campsite. Many campgrounds will allow you to cook on a portable grill or the stove associated with your RV.

Restaurants

Thanks to its status as a well-loved tourist destination, Myrtle Beach is a real food lover's paradise. Whether it is a light deli lunch or an indulgent dinner you're in the mood for, you'll find it here. Many of the restaurants offer incredible oceanside views. Also, be sure to eat at some of the legendary fresh seafood places.

Vendors

There will be some delicious food and beverage options on offer at the Carolina Country Music Festival. Enjoy the delicious coastal fare or tuck into some comforting southern food. If you have dietary restrictions, there's no need to worry. There will be a number of vegan, vegetarian, sugar-free, and gluten-free options on offer as well.

Safety

Security

Security personnel and festival staff will be present at the entrances. All bags will be checked before entry, and you may be subjected to a search as well. It's a good idea to check the list of prohibited items to make sure you're not carrying anything that goes against the festival rules.

Weather

Carolina Country Music Festival is a rain or shine event. The weather is likely to be sunny, but it's always good to go prepared for rain since the performances take place outdoors. Carry a rain poncho and wear sturdy shoes to protect yourself against passing showers. Umbrellas will not be allowed into the venue.

Medical

If you need medical assistance, you can head to the Health tent, which will be located in a central location. Onsite emergency responders will be making rounds, so flag them down if you feel like you're getting too hot or lightheaded. Complimentary hand sanitizer, sunscreen, and fans will also be available at the medical tent.
