Event information

Das Energi Festival is a two-day musical extravaganza that takes place in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Great Saltair, a scenic site located on the outskirts of the city, serves as the venue for the event. Visitors can relax on the beautiful, sandy shores of the Great Salt Lake while jamming to tunes spun by some of the best DJs in the world.

The festival was founded in 2012 and features some of the best local and international Electronic Dance Music artists. Notable past performers include Zeds Dead, Destructo, Deadmau5, Andrew Bayer, Diplo, Claude VonStroke, Adventure Club, Gareth Emery, and Wolfgang Gartner.

The venue is transformed into an otherworldly, ethereal space with art installations and beautifully lit up stages. In addition to the main stage, which is called the Energi Field, there is an indoor stage called Synergy Station and well as the Galactic Flats stage situated by the water.

Close to the Galactic Flats, visitors will come across gorgeous art exhibits, huts to relax in, and food trucks serving up delicious food and drinks. Although it is a relatively new event, Das Energi has grown into one of the country’s premier EDM festivals.

What to pack

Clothing

Keep in mind that the festival takes place in summer, and opt for lightweight, breathable fabrics. You’re likely to be doing a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes are a must.

Gear

A portable charger, sunscreen, lip balm, and earplugs are a few items that can come in handy during the day. Carry these in a small bag or backpack since larger ones will not be allowed into the venue. Pack your fishing gear and swimwear for some added summer fun, especially if you’re staying at a campsite with waterfront access.

Health & Safety

This way, you can stay hydrated without spending money on water. Lockers will be available for rent, and you can use these to secure your belongings.

Where to eat

Cooking

If you’re looking forward to grilling meat or roasting S'mores on a campfire, you’re in luck. Many of the campgrounds in the area allow fires.
