Introduction

Visit the 3 sq. km (1.2 sq. mile) Earl Rowe Provincial Park to have a top-class RV camping experience and enjoy memorable recreational activities. At Earl Rowe Provincial Park, you can engage in recreational pursuits including hiking on six scenic trails more than 20 km (12 miles) long, fishing for salmon and trout, canoeing on Earl Rowe Lake, or biking on trails and roadways. There's also swimming in two large beaches and a pool, enjoying outdoor meals with family and friends in well-equipped picnic areas, photography, park programs, and much more.

Located just 2 km (1.2 miles) west of New Tecumseth, along Highway 89, Earl Rowe Provincial Park has something special for everyone. There are two RV campgrounds in the park; West Side Campground and Riverside Campground, both of which combined consist of five RV camping areas. Electric hookups for RVs are available in some of the campsites in the campgrounds.

Facilities and amenities at Earl Rowe Provincial Park include group camps, amphitheater, boat launch, comfort stations, fish cleaning station, laundry facilities, picnic shelters, picnic areas, playground, swimming pool, canoe rentals, pit/vault toilets, showers, dump station, Visitor Center, and parking lots.

Transportation

Driving

Located just 2 km (1.2 miles) west of New Tecumseth, along Highway 89, Earl Rowe Provincial Park is easily accessible by RVs, trailers, and other motorized vehicles via Concession 7 Road. A network of roads within the park makes it easy for RV campers to get around in their rigs. There are no driving restrictions in the park.

Parking

A variety of parking options are available for RV campers at Earl Rowe Provincial Park in view of the fact that there are nine parking areas in the park. You’ll find six parking lots at the Westside Campground, one around the Greenbush Picnic Shelter, one around the park office, and one around the swimming pool. RV campers can as well park their rigs at their respective campsites. Moreover, overnight parking is available.

There are no direct public transportation services to Earl Rowe Provincial Park.

Heydon Way Camping Area

Heydon Way Camping Area in Riverside Campground at Earl Rowe Provincial Park features 84 pet-friendly campsites available for RVs and tents. All the campsites in the camping area are equipped with electric hookups for RVs. RV length limit in the campground is 32 ft (10 m), however RV campers with larger rigs can contact the park ahead to find out if space is available.

Amenities available at Heydon Way include water taps, pit/vault toilets, restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, wheelchair accessible areas, playground, garbage disposal station, and recycling station.

Two (2) campsites are available on first-come first served basis, while the remaining campsites are available by reservation.

Fletcher Field Camping Area

Fletcher Field Camping Area in West Side Campground at Earl Rowe Provincial Park features 81 pet-friendly campsites available for RVs and tents. All the campsites in the camping area are equipped with electric hookups for RVs. RV length limit in the campground is 32 ft (10 m), however RV campers with larger rigs can contact the park ahead to find out if space is available.

Amenities available at Fletcher Field include water taps, fire rings, picnic tables, pit/vault toilets, wheelchair accessible areas, restrooms with showers, playground, telephone, and parking lots. Laundry facilities and an amphitheater are available nearby.

Two (2) campsites are available on first-come first served basis, while the remaining campsites are available by reservation.

Trillium Woods Camping Area

Trillium Woods Camping Area in West Side Campground at Earl Rowe Provincial Park features 96 pet-friendly campsites available for RVs and tents. There are no RV hookups at the camping area. RV length limit at the campsite is 32 ft (10 m).

Amenities available at Trillium Woods include water taps, fire rings, picnic tables, pit/vault toilets, wheelchair accessible areas, restrooms with showers, and parking lot.

Eight (8) campsites are available on first-come first served basis, while the remaining campsites are available by reservation.

Meadowbrook Camping Area

Meadowbrook Camping Area in West Side Campground at Earl Rowe Provincial Park features 42 pet-friendly campsites available for RVs and tents. There are no RV hookups at the camping area. RV length limit in the campground is 32 ft (10 m), however RV campers with larger rigs can contact the park ahead to find out if space is available.

Amenities available at Meadowbrook include water taps, fire rings, picnic tables, pit/vault toilets, playground, restrooms with showers, and parking lot.

Two (2) campsites are available on first-come first served basis, while the remaining campsites are available by reservation.

Alternate camping

Boyne Meadow Camping Area

Boyne Meadow Camping Area in West Side Campground at Earl Rowe Provincial Park features 90 pet-friendly campsites available for RVs and tents. There are no RV hookups at the camping area. RV length limit at the campsite is 32 ft (10 m).

Amenities available at the camping area include water taps, fire rings, picnic tables, pit/vault toilets, wheelchair accessible areas, restrooms with showers, trailer dump station, and parking lot.

Twenty-four (24) campsites are available on first-come first served basis, while the remaining campsites are available by reservation.

In-Season

Hiking

Pack your best hiking boots as you visit Earl Rowe Provincial Park for your RV vacation, because the park features six amazing hiking trails.

Fletcher’s Mill Pond Trail is a 1.5 km (0.9 mile) linear trail that takes campers around Earl Rowe Lake. Rainbow Run Trail, a 11 km (7 mile) trail takes hikers to various parts of the park including the pool, fishing spots, Park Store, and Resource Center. Moreover, hiking on the 0.5 km (0.3 mile) Little Trail takes campers through the woods from Westbeach to the fish ladder and dam in the park. In addition, the 4 km (2.5 mile) looped Lookout Trail leads to the lookout platform where RV campers will enjoy scenic views of Earl Rowe and the surrounding areas. RV campers can learn about the natural resources at the park on the 1.5 km (0.9 mile) Resource Trail. Riverside Campground Trail is yet another wonderful trail that connects both sides of the park.

Fishing

The river below the dam in Earl Rowe Provincial Park (Boyne River), and Earl Rowe Lake are available for fishing. Consequently, RV campers can visit the various fishing spots at the river and the lake to catch different species of fish, such as salmon and trout. What’s more, the Resource Center in the park offers tackle share rods and reels for campers. Besides these, a hand-on program, the Learn to Fish program, is available at the park to teach new anglers how to fish.

Canoeing

Whether or not you bring your own canoe to Earl Rowe Provincial Park, you can’t miss out on the paddling opportunities available at the park. This is because canoes, paddleboats, paddles, and lifejackets are available for rent at the Park Store. In addition, a boat launch is available at the park.

Off-Season

Biking

All RV campers can enjoy riding their bikes on the roads in the park as well as on some of the trails in the park. For instance, cycling is allowed on Fletcher’s Mill Pond Trail, Rainbow Run Trail, and Riverside Campground Trail.

Swimming

East Beach and Westbeach are two large beach areas in Earl Rowe Provincial Park available for swimming. There are no lifeguards available at both beach areas, hence caution is advised when swimming. Another option for swimming in the park is the one-acre swimming pool available at the western part of the park where lifeguards are available. Lifejacket rentals are available at the swimming pool.

Picnicking

Several picnic areas and picnic shelters are available at Earl Rowe Provincial Park, particularly in the beach areas, for RV campers to enjoy outdoor meals within beautiful settings. The Earl Rowe Provincial Park provides a scenic backdrop for the picnic areas. Amazing picnic facilities are also available.
