Located about 12 miles northwest of Woodward in Oklahoma, this US Army Corps of Engineers park with its three sq. mile man-made lake offers plenty of recreation for the outdoor enthusiast.
From pleasurable boating opportunities to excellent hunting possibilities within the wildlife management area, Fort Supply Lake has something for everyone. Anglers are treated to plenty of opportunities to fish for crappie, largemouth bass, walleye, white bass, and others. Picnicking is yet another interesting activity at this lake park that features recreation areas equipped with modern facilities. A designated swimming beach is available too for the avid swimmer and all who wish to take a dip in the park’s waters. Besides these, there are plenty of sightseeing opportunities within and outside the park, such as at Alabaster Caverns State Park.
Tent and RV camping options are available to visitors and campers at Fort Supply Lake as there are campsites equipped with electric and water hookups. Amenities include hot showers, fishing piers, dump stations, playground, picnic areas, and lots more.

Transportation

Driving

Located about 12 miles northwest of Woodward, Oklahoma, off US Highway 270 and Oklahoma Highway 3, Fort Supply Lake is a COE park that you can easily drive to in your car, trailer or recreational vehicle. You shouldn’t have any difficulty locating and accessing the park as a number of major and minor roads lead to the park. Driving within the park too is made easy by the roads that connect the campground and sites of interest. RVs and trailers are available nearby at Woodward and Alabaster Caverns State Park.

Parking

There are parking spaces available for campers and visitors at Fort Supply Lake. The campground also features parking spaces for RVs/trailers and cars. Overnight parking is also available.

Reservations camping

Supply Park Campground

Supply Park Campground, a pet-friendly campground that sits on the shores of Fort Supply Lake, is open between April and September (Peak Season) and available by reservations. There are 110 campsites within the campground, one large group camping shelter, and a group day-use pavilion.
86 campsites within this campground are equipped with electric and water hookups for RVs and trailers. Other available amenities include dump stations, hot showers, playgrounds, picnic areas, and boat launch. ADA accessible fishing piers are also provided.
This campground can handle RVs and trailers up to 130 feet.

In-Season

Boating

The three sq. miles of open water available at Fort Supply Lake is open to boating enthusiasts and skiers for their enjoyment. As a result, RV campers and visitors do not miss out on the fun at this Army COE park. Campers are urged to come along with their own boats and vessels so that they can kickstart the adventure upon arrival. There are boat launch ramps available in the park for you to easily load and launch your boat on to the park’s waters. Be advised that boating is guided by COE regulations and Oklahoma boating laws.

Fishing

Even though Fort Supply is one of the oldest impoundments in the state of Texas, this US Army COE park is still very well-known for its fishing opportunities and attracts fishing enthusiasts. The principal fish species that are available within the park include crappie, largemouth bass, walleye, white bass, and different species of catfish. As a result, RV campers and visitors that fancy fishing can enjoy the full expanse of the lake’s water for their pursuits. Fishing piers with ADA accessibility features are also available.

Hunting

About 10 sq. miles of public hunting land is jointly managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation within the Fort Supply Lake area. The major game species at this lake park that are available to hunters include deer and bobwhite quail. Other hunting opportunities in this park include pheasant, wild turkey, waterfowl, and dove. Open year-round, the public hunting area in this park provides two shooting ranges for use by campers and visitors. Licenses are required to hunt in the park.

Off-Season

Swimming

If you fancy taking a dip in the water while on vacation, you should visit Fort Supply Lake for its exciting swimming opportunities. Swimming is allowed in all the lake’s areas, except around courtesy docks, boat ramps, and the buoyed-off area located in front of the gate. A designated swimming beach is available and is recommended for all who wish to swim because the beach is more controlled and boat use is prohibited in the area.

Day Use Recreation

There are two multi-use recreation areas operated by the US Army COE in this lake park. Both areas offer a variety of activities for campers and visitors to participate in and enjoy. These range from public ranging, to boating, swimming, fishing, and other day-use activities. What’s more, there is an attractive Visitor Center that is located at the Lake Office for campers and visitors to visit. See the display of animals that are native to the area, as well as historical artifacts and arrowheads.

Sightseeing

There are plenty of places to visit at and around Fort Supply Lake that offer exciting sightseeing opportunities. Some of these places include the historic Fort Supply site and museum located near the park, the Pioneer Museum and Art Center located in Woodward, and Boiling Springs State Park. Besides, the lake is itself an oasis visited by thousands of sightseers from within the State because of its popularity as a colorful western heritage site.
