We built our Promaster van conversion with accessibility, affordability,  and comfort in mind, as well as traveling with a family and/or dog.  We love to hike and travel.  When we retired, we wanted to be able to see more of the country, but on a fixed income, and with our dog.  We also wanted to build it with extra space for families, so our own kids had the van available to take vacations with their families.  

We custom made the van for off grid living.  Since the van has everything you need in it, and does not require hook ups or a generator, you can virtually park it any where, and we have.  It is so nice to stay at our beautiful national and state parks, that might have more limited accommodations, especially off season, which we have found out.  

The van has all the conveniences of home, due to Lithium batteries that recharge with the second alternator, while you drive.    The heating system can be set with the smart thermostat, and runs on gas.  In the evening, you can read with the dimmed lights over the bed or watch your favorite show on your laptop. If you want a cool breeze, open the side door, and pull out the awning to shield yourself from sun or rain.  

Our van is equipped with a good sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, and induction oven, making meals efficient, quick, and easy.  That really keeps expenses down. There is plenty of space for all amenities that you would expect from a kitchen. .
We  wanted to make the van family and pet friendly, so our van seats 4.  We also travel with our dog, so we have made some adjustments for her comfort as well, including the additional outdoor shower.  As for us, 2 old people, the indoor toilet was a must.  
What really makes this van affordable and easy to drive is the fact that it is 18plus miles per gallon, and has a 360 degree camera, as well as driver assistant and collision avoidance.  On our last 2 week trip, we drove and parked very comfortably, and our biggest expense was at the souvenir shops.

Plan your next off grid adventure.  Since the van has everything you need in it, and does not require hook ups or a generator, you can virtually park it any where, and we have.  We only live a 1 hour drive from the White Mountains, and about 2 hours from Mt. Washington.  As avid hikers, we have hiked all of the 40000 plus footers in NH, but we are ready to explore more of the USA.  

Our first trip in the van was to the Old Erie Canal, just west of us.  We drove through Vermont at the peak of leaf peeping season.  We stayed at a state park with a beautiful lake.  Even though, we both grew up in NY, we never saw this part of the state.  It was both interesting and beautiful.  

Our next trip, we went west to the Delaware Water Gap, Gettysburg, and then off to Virginia.  We loved exploring  Shenandoah National Park, and its unique Skyline Drive.  We stayed right in the  Virginia Beach State Park, and walked the dog on the beach every morning (off season).  On this 10 day adventure, we got to hike parts of the Appalachian Trail, learn a little about our history, and swim in the Chesapeake Bay.  

Our next planned trips are south to Florida to their beautiful beaches and then north to Nova Scotia.  Traveling off grid just opens your world up a little wider, without giving up the comforts from home.  

Our learning experience has been that we have beautiful, affordable, and well kept national and state parks.  We feel fortunate to be able to travel this way and want to share those opportunities that the van has given us. Nothing would give us more joy than to have others see more of our vast, interesting, and beautiful country affordably and in comfort with their family, friends, and/or dog.

This is it, your home away from home!  Experience the excitement of camping but the ability to relax like you are at home. The free standing dining table and chairs comfortably seats 4 people. It includes a cast iron griddle, a small refrigerator with extra cabinet space and counters as well as a hot and cold running water sink. Two large electric awnings will give you protection from the sun or rain. The living room area has two comfortable electric recliners with USB charge ports for you to relax while watching the fireplace that puts out heat if wanted.  Watch TV on the 40” flatscreen “smart” TV where you can watch via the roof mounted antenna, campground cable, or stream via your favorite streaming app. This luxury RV even has built-in Wi-Fi so you can connect all you devices.  Stream a movie before retiring to the master bedroom which has a large king size bed or the bunkhouse where there are two bunks and a pullout couch that is perfect for your kids. Both the master bedroom and the bunkhouse have their own doors for added privacy.  This RV has not one but two bathrooms so the kids have their own bathroom right in the bunkhouse.  An on demand hot water heater is onboard so no need to take quickie showers like most other RVs with limited hot water tanks. Did your kids get dirty at the beach or the lake?  The outside heated shower is perfect to rinse them off before they come inside.  You can beat the heat with two A/C units to cool the camper down quickly (you only need 30 amp electric service to run both at the same time).  Are the nights a little chilly?  Warm up with the heat pump function of the A/C, the fireplace, or the propane furnace that is ducted to all rooms.  Are you traveling with pets?  There are even pullout pet bowls in the kitchen!  Do you hate having to use the coin-op laundry machines at the campground?  Yeah us too. That’s why this rig has an on board washer/dryer so you can do your laundry right from your campsite, no coins required!

Your temporary home is ready for you and there is no need to bring all those extras from home. The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, silverware, all the utensils you will need to create your delicious meals and even a coffee pot so you can enjoy fresh brewed coffee with your breakfast. There are plates, bowls and cups for 8 people to accommodate your large family or your guests. All linens are provided for each of the beds and comfy towel sets are waiting to dry you off from your hot shower. Comfortable “My Pillows” are also included for each bed for your convenience. If you do not want to use any of these items, they can easily be removed prior to your trip. 

Are you camping where there is no electric hookups?  We have you covered!  This luxury RV has solar panels, lithium batteries and a 3000 watt inverter so you can still use all the electric devices onboard without being plugged in to shore power. Power is limited with the batteries but we also offer a portable generator if you need one to keep those batteries charged so you never have to skimp on power usage. 

Your luxury camper is located right in the heart of the New Hampshire destinations. Nearby is Lake Winnipesaukee and the Lakes Region. Just to the north is North Conway and the White Mountains destinations. Want to head to the coast? Portsmouth or Portland, ME is just over an hour’s drive for the best lobster dinner in New England!  Boston, Vermont and other New England destinations are within a couple hours drive.

   My camper has been maintained and cleaned by myself, since I took ownership (original owner). Electric awning, outdoor speakers, single slideout, rear entry to bathroom, and adult size bunkbeds in the rear make this a great family camper. TV with DVD player, working AC and heat, and electric and gas fridge and hot water heater have all been tested for this upcoming summer season!
   The camper comes with a plastic table and outdoor rugs to enjoy below the awning, while paper/plastic silverare/plates/bowls are provided.  Cleaning products, a broom and dust pan, and toilet paper are provided. A standard coffee pot with filters are provided as well, but renters should bring their own water for drinking/cooking. The camper also has regular silverware, pots, pans, cutting boards, cups, etc. There is also a septic dumping hose, a water hose, and extension cord all stowed below the camper. 
   Unfortunately, we do not provide linens, bedding, towels, or camping chairs with the camper.  
   Please search for a 2012 Keystone Cougar 28RBS for complete technical description for my Keystone camper, including total length, weights, and tank capacities.  The only difference is that my camper has 2 grey water tanks, vs the 1 detailed (1 for the kitchen and 1 for the bathroom).  This website will not allow me to share links. Thanks!
