Timberline Campground

Sometimes you want to get away from the urban grind while still within a stone's throw of all the comforts and amenities of a metro area. If this is what you're after, search for an RV in Dallas County and take your rental RV to Timberline Campground, one of the many campgrounds in the greater Des Moines area. You'll be welcomed by shaded campsites, ample motorhome camping options, and an array of facilities to make camping in Waukee a highlight of your trip.

Whether you're looking for a full hookup site or an electric/water only site and access to a dump station, you'll find it here at Timberline Campground. The campground is proud of maintaining its restrooms to a high standard so you can expect to walk into a clean restroom at any time. There's a laundry room, too, and an on-site store where you can buy ice and ice cream, RV supplies, and groceries, among other things. You can also have your propane tanks refilled and buy firewood on-site to build that crackling campfire in the picnic area.

Families will love the campground's playground and dog park, and active campers will certainly like the many options for breaking a sweat while here. Plunge into the crystal-clear water of the swimming pool, break a sweat at the volleyball or basketball court, or take it easy at the recreation hall where there are a pool and a ping pong table, arcade games, and a jukebox. And with wireless internet available, you can keep those share-worthy photos coming.

Being close to Des Moines comes with advantages, and you’ll find plenty of use for your Waukee camper rental to experience what Iowa’s state capital has to offer.
