Facilities: There are 3 graveled parking areas, ATV unloading ramp, equestrian trailer area, restrooms, RV dump station, concessions, water stations, and picnic tables.
Contact station area: Law enforcement, EMS, and Idaho Air Rescue
Regulations: Safety flags, annual ORV sticker; designated routes, ride only in open sand and observe all posted signs; no glass containers; all riders under age 18 must wear helmets (ID state law).
The Egin Lakes Campground offers a potable water system, RV dump station and 48 improved camp units, including electrical service. Campfires are only allowed in designated areas--Citations will be issued for illegal burning.
Camping Fees: Camping $25-$60/day, according to size of camping unit and amenities, $10.00 per use of RV dump stations. At this time, there is not a reservation system in place for the campsites. Campsites are on a first come first serve basis.
Day Use Fees: $5.00 per vehicle/per day or there is a $60.00 season pass--can be purchased from camp host at Egin Lakes or at the Upper Snake Field Office in Idaho Falls.
Closure Information: The riding area on the west side of St. Anthony Sand Dunes, west of Egin Lakes Campground (aka. "the big dunes") are closed from January 1 through sunrise on April 1. The area south of Egin - Hamer Rd is also closed from January 1 through sunrise April 1. The areas completely surrounding the the open sand of the St. Anthony Sand Dunes are closed from January 1 through sunrise on May 1. The smaller dunes, east of Egin Lakes Campground to Red Road are open year-round, but are usually covered in snow by January 1.
