Bogue Chitto Water Park Campground

The Bogue Chitto Water Park and RV Campground is located about halfway between the towns of McComb and Tylertown, and just off Highway 98. While this region of southern Mississippi might seem isolated, it’s actually only a 90-minute drive from the capital in Jackson and about two hours' drive from New Orleans, Louisiana. Campsites include water, sewer, and electrical hookups (20/30 amp capacity), picnic tables, and flush toilets. There’s also a playground, which is great if you’re travel trailer camping with kids and need a place where they can burn off some excess energy.

Despite the name, this is not a water park of the lazy river and epic slide variety, but rather a Mississippi-specific reference to the nearby Bogue Chitto River and the recreational opportunities that it offers. The nearest conventional water park is an hour's drive to the south on the north side of Lake Pontchartrain.
