Laughlin / Avi Casino KOA

Looking for something like Las Vegas but on a smaller scale? Laughlin, Nevada, is exactly that and if this is where you want to be, consider staying at Laughlin / Avi Casino KOA. This fully cultivated RV campground has all of the usual amenities such as restrooms with showers and laundry facilities, but it also has full access to the Avi Casino next door and all of its amenities too. The casino has a children's play area with movies, games, and activities to keep your young ones happy while you try your hand at the gaming tables. The casino property has both a pool and a beach, a boat launch and a shuttle bus to take you from the campground to the casino. There are several eateries on-site ranging from a full-service restaurant to a beachside cantina and a 24-hour cafe.

If you need some quiet time to yourself to re-energize, the campground has picnic tables and barbecue pits, or you can throw together a quick meal in your Laughlin camper rental. You'll have access to Wi-Fi so you can let your people back home know you're safe and cable TV channels to let you catch up on the news. All of the sites have full hookups, and you can choose between sites with pull-through or back-in access. The RV park has a dog run area and a kids' playground, plus horseshoe pits for the adults and a gazebo for families and groups.

Now that you're refreshed and have caught your wind, it's time to venture out a bit farther. Want to see a bit of the Old West up close? Head for Oatman, just across the Nevada-Arizona state line and a short, 20-mile trip. This historic gold mining town has restaurants, a variety of shops, free-roaming burros, and gunfighters shooting it out in the streets. Lake Mojave and the Colorado River are good places to get in some fishing in the early mornings and evenings (when the heat is still reasonable), and there are numerous golf courses where you can squeeze in a round. Shoppers will enjoy the outlet mall with its discount outlet shops and food court.
